Help With New Hairstyle Posted A Photo Of My Current Hair

Haircuts: What descriptors do hair stylists want to hear from a new customer?

When a new customer comes in and wants a new look, or even wants to maintain the current look they have, words used to describe a look can be confusing. How can words be confusing? Short is short. Blonde is blonde. Curly is curly. Right? Wrong. Many people's conception of short varies greatly. Is short to the chin, or is short to the shoulders? Blonde like Mariah Carey or blonde like Madonna? Curly like a telephone cord, or curly like a slinky? The best thing to do is to bring pictures to describe what you are looking for. (Very best is a picture of yourself if you're looking to maintain what you have and I've never seen you before!) This way, there's no room for miscommunication when you tell me "cut it short!" I always keep a tape measure or a comb with inch markings on it close by so I can show you what an inch really is.Visuals can really help relay what you are looking for. Even if you have to bring me four or five pictures to show me that you like this length, and these bangs, and these hilights. Even bringing me pictures of what you DON'T like helps out. The more thorough our consulation, the better the end result will be.

What is the difference between a haircut and a hairstyle?

Here is the difference between a haircut and a hairstyleGetting a new hair cut or a hair style can be really exciting because it lets you express who you are and it lets you look neat and groomed too. Some people may think that the words hair cut and hair style are synonymous and that it’s just a matter of semantics, but that is surely not the case. There is a clear difference between a hair cut and a hair style; let me tell you what that is.Getting a hair cut or a trim actually involves cutting your hair to be shorter than it as before. There is even a distinction to be made there. Getting a new hair cut usually involves a serious shortening of the length of the hair, while a trim doesn’t involve much in length chances. Instead a trim is more or less just cutting away the split ends to give your current hair style a little rejuvenation. However getting a hair cut is not the same thing as getting a new hair style. The picture below is of a hair cut.Photo Credit: http://www.tellwut.comYou can get yourself a new hair style without actually getting a hair cut. For example you can cut your hair to ivy league length and wear it in different hair styles. You can wear the ivy league hair cut in a crew cut hair style, a long crew cut, spiked up, parted in the middle, or many other ways too. The picture below is of a hair style.Photo Credit: Latest Hairstyles and Haircuts for Women in 2017A hair cut refers to the length of your hair more than anything else, while the hair style refers to the way in which you wear your hair. As another example, you could have long hair lowing don to your shoulders and that would be the hair cut length. You can wear that long hair in a pony tail, a bun, or wear it like shag too, that would be the hair style. To make it even more simple, a hair cut involves using scissors or clippers, whereas getting your hair styled is going to involve the dryer, gel, hair products, and anything else needed to make a specific style. Getting your hair cut in length doesn’t mean that you automatically have a hair style, it can just mean that your hair is shorter. You can of course get a hair cut and also get it made into a certain style at the same time, however the 2 are very different things.

Can you show a picture of your hairstyle?

Well, I have had different hairstyles at different points of time, but right now I have what I like to call a 'Rockstar phase' style. This is the latest picture of myself I clicked about 2 weeks back from the date I posted this answer.

I need a new hairstyle, help?:)?

I want to try a new hair style, that is my current one. I'd like to get something shorter because I feel long hair is less mature and shorter is just more attractive. The hairstyle I want to try is : http://www.menshairstyletrends.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Spiked-Mens-Hair-2013.jpg
But I'm not sure if it would look nice, any suggestions? I'm not even sure what face shape I have.

I'm desperate for new hairstyle?

Current hair:

Sorry if it's a bad pic, but it shows my layers, bangs and length.
I've always had the "scene" hair look, but dress more classy lately
(Don't freak about the labels, just the easiest way to describe. :P)
I have an obsession...with teasing. My hair is slightly teased in the picture.
As you can see, I'm not the skinniest. >.>
I find if I don't tease my hair it has no volume and makes me look fat.
I love love love big curls, but SUCK at curling, and hate watching videos on how to do it.
(My internet's bandwidth sucks anyways).
I'm looking for either a style that's cute and has volume without teasing, or a new cut.
I've always liked the short layers on top, with thin long layer. But it looks best teased.
I'm just kinda lost, I've been teasing my hair for like 3 years now, haha.

If this matters:
I have 1 inch gauges, and a septum piercing. So if any styles or cuts show my ears without having to put it into a pony tail, that'd be sweet. :D

ANY suggestions or pictures are very much appreciated! :D

Would i look ok with this hairstyle??? please help

i really think you can pull it off. just don't dye your hair too dark like ashleys. also, when they cut your hair like that, the stylist will usually us a razor and that'll give you split ends in the long run so if you do decide to cut your hair like that, ask the stylist to use thinning sheers instead to avoid spit ends!

How to get Light from Deathnote's Hairstyle?

First off, let your hair grow so that it comes just above shoulder length, then go to the barbers/hairdressers and show them a picture of Light. Obviously they wont be able to get it exactly into that style.
Explain to them in detail what the look entails (I did this to my hair dresser cause I wanted Seras Victoria hair).
If I were you, I would explain it to them as fairly long at the back (just reaching to the bottom of your neck), getting shorter at the front so that it frames your face. I would also ask for medium length layers on top (guide your fingers through your hair so as to show them how much to take off) then ask them for a sort of sweeping side fringe that reaches just past your eyebrows.
I realize some guys are a bit fussy over this, but straightening your hair will help a great deal if it sticks out as much in that photo.
If you straighten it under and use some hair gum/gel/putty it should stay in style.
Hope this helps
