How do I set up my Wii to a Toshiba TV?

The 5 colours are part of "Component" (Green, Blue, Red, Yellow, Red), which is a seperate cable from AV.
You need to find the "AV IN", which is normally on the side of TVs.
If you can't find just the 3 inputs (Yellow, White, Red) on their own, then you need to buy a "Wii to Component" cable.
Hope this helps!

EDIT!

You need to buy a "Wii to Component" Cable or "Wii to HDMI" as your TV does not support the old Wii cables

Please Help me set up my wii to my toshiba 40e220u tv?

According to the specs near the bottom of this page:

http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/t... EDIT: and here - indicates Composite and Component ARE in fact shared:
http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/t...

your Toshiba DOES have 1 X Composite port - Composite video carries all parts of the video signal on 1 cable (the Yellow one from your Wii, with Red/White Right/Left stereo), Component video is spread over 3 cables (color-coded Red/Green/Blue with the same R/W audio). You can check your manual to be sure, but...

Many manufacturers, to save money on the number of analog ports (which are slowly being phased out in favor of digital), have begun using dual-purpose, or "shared" Component and Composite ports. The one Component port that accepts Composite signals in this shared arrangement is usually the Green one (sometimes there is a Yellow ring or dot on the Green port to help identify it). The picture is not completely clear, but I suspect if you plug the Red/White into the Red/White In ports for audio and the Yellow into the Green port and select AV Input on the TV with your remote, you will get your console in color. The Green handles "Y" Component, which you and I would call Brightness/Contrast, with most of the color information on Pr and Pb (Red and Blue ports), so if you select Component on the TV Input you should get a picture from the Wii but in Black and White.
If you decide to get the Component cables suggested by other answers, you will get higher-quality video. But until then, you should be able to do as described above to play your Wii in color, OK? Good luck!

Wii help! First time and can't get past the "Language" screen.?

When you got your Wii, you didn't have to sync the remote. They automatically sync the remote that's packaged with a console so it's ready. So when the Wii is turned off, turn it on with the Wii Remote. This turns on both the system and the remote. Then press A to get past the health warnings.

Now remember. This is a motion controlled system and has the sensor bar so that you can point at the screen and select stuff. Which you MUST do to use the main menu. It won't accept traditional. So point at your preferred language and press A. The icon will be signified by a hand with the number 1 on it. After you select your language, do the same for the rest of the setup process. Before long you'll be at the Channels page. Before you start playing I recommend you go ahead and setup your wifi connection which is very easy. Hope I've helped.

My Wii stopped connecting to the internet..?

I think I have a Netgear WG111v2 wireless router and my Wii won't connect to it anymore. It stopped connecting on New Years Day.
I looked on support.nintendo.com and I looked at the compatible routers and it turns out it isn't compatible BUT my Wii has been connected to it for over 3 or 4 months now and I have been playing online with my friends so it must be compatible.
I deleted my previous internet settings and set them up again but I got the same error code as before: 52030
Does anybody know the problem? Please help!
(support.nintendo.com wasn't much help to me)

After I turn on my Wii it says press A to continue, but when I do, the 4 lights on the controller just flash.?

You need to re sync your controller. This has happen to me before. Just remove the back of the controller and push the red button on the Wii where the SD cards go in then push the controller's red button it should work after that.

Good Luck

Connecting Wii to Smart Board?

If there is the composite inputs (red, white, & yellow) you should be fine. The composite wires are used to connect to the Wii to the tv and like wise it should work on the smart board projector. You will need to set it to the correct input settings (it is most likely one of the video settings. eg. Video 1, Video 2) as i believe smart boards are usually set for the input of a computer screen which is a different input setting.

As for the speakers, if they're connected to the projector, the sound should also work. (if not read below)

I'm not very familiar with smart boards as i haven't spent a whole lot of time using them but i have set up my Wii to a smart board once with the teacher's permission. If you need further help i think asking your faculty's tech adviser for additional help would be a good idea or one of the other faculty members who understands how the projector is set up.
