Help With Writing My Own Story

Help with writing my book/story?

Okay hey, I've been really into slenderman the past week, and I wanted to write a book about it, however I'm not sure whether to write the book about slenderman, or do like a series (book one: slenderman, book two, something else supernatural, etc.)

If I continue making my first book/story (i'm using wattpad) about Slenderman, I was thinking about basing my story off of the phrase "Slim chance", so what would sound better:
*Slender Chances* or *We've Got A Slender Chance*.

My idea for the slenderman story/book is there's me the a sort of outcasted scene/emo kid, the popular girl in school, and the nerdy girl, are outside for some sort of detention something (i haven;t worked out why we're outside yet.) Then we get lost, in a haunted house or something, and boom, we start the whole Slenderman adventure with my own twists and humors and etc. and we find the 8 notes. I'm not sure if i want one of us to disappear, or get caught, idk yet, that'll come to me later.

But yeah what do you think of my idea, and which of my two titles do you like for a Slendy story (or give me a different title!) and tell me whether you think I should do the thriller series like i said, or just a slenderman story, or something totally different but still scary.

Thanks, sorry it's long!

I'm struggling to write my own story. Any advice?

This question is probably asked numerous times on here daily. I've even asked it several times myself and have usually received harsh and demoting answers from users here. I've wanted to write my own series of books for some time now. I have characters and a plot outline which I'm sure is cliche and has been done before by someone before me. However, I still would really like to write out this story I have in my head but I feel like I just can't stick with what I write. I always have to rewrite the scene or change certain aspects to the characters. I obsess over the title of the story and the profiles of my character as well as the nagging in my head that my story isn't original enough and that nobody will appreciate it.

Ultimately I end up not having any fun while I write because I stress out some much over these issues. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can go about writing my story, while ignoring the fear of failure and enjoying what I'm doing?

I am writing my own love story - how I met my wife and what all I had to do for her to say "Yes" - and I plan to self-publish it. Will anyone read my book?

There’s only one way to find out…I guess you can guarantee one reader: your wife?!But perhaps you’re asking a different question?Like: how do I write the story of how I finally got my wife to agree to marry me in a way that’s so interesting to other people that they’re willing to spend their money (and time) on reading it?If you’re writing the true story and sticking with what really happened then you’re writing a memoir.I guess some of the reasons why people will read it are:there are aspects to the story that are extraordinary and original and that other people will find amazing and entertaining. People want different things from true stories than they do from fictional stories. Your story will be more interesting if it feels like a ‘hero’s journey’ in which you learn things about yourself in the process of courting your wife. You could structure the story according to a series of realisations about yourself and what you needed to do to become that person who could really deserve the love that you eventually received. You make it very moving, very touching, very funny, very inspiring. Will it make me laugh, cry, wonder how it will turn out? (You’ve told me what happens already…so the questions will all be about HOW you get there. How you both ‘get there’) Suspense, even in true stories, is important.People are willing to recommend it to people they know. Word of mouth is the most powerful way to market a book. Great reviews on sites too.Have fun writing it and see where it leads. You’ll learn a lot doing it, I’m sure!

How do u write your own stories on FanFiction.net?

Fanfiction.net is the best for writing fanfiction for books, movies, tv shows, anything.
But if you're planning on putting a story of your own creation up on there, then it's better to try http://www.fictionpress.net so as not to anger fans who expect a Harry Potter but get a story about another planet!

How do I write my life story?

Start with http://lifetile.me/Let it flow. The hardest thing is to sit in front of a blank page. Start by writing something. Anything. You can go back and forth and edit your life story as much as you like. You can chose not to publish your story until you are ready. You can use the "Show to friends only" option and receive feedback on your story without showing it to the whole world.Give specific details. Most of your readers will be your family members, but also visitors of the site of all ages and all countries. Remember they don't know anything about you or where you grew up. Many things you consider trivial are not so. Many things you take for granted, are not available everywhere. A person lives in a place and time and his biography is a mirror of that era. This is what is so interesting.Don't write as an accountant. There are the dry details that define you, you should put them on the paper, but beyond that there are the stories which make up your life and are the ones that interest us. You don't have to write everything that happened to you. You can write shortly about the big picture, and then tell us one story that has meaning to you.Divide to chapters - decide on order. There are two major ways to write your biography - by chronological order, or by subjects- without a timeline. If you want to write chronologically, name your chapters: Childhood, adolescence, 30-40, golden age, etc. If you chose to write without a chronological order, you can write by subjects: love & marriage, friends, good times and bad times, etc.

Websites to write your own stories?

I've already asked this question once, but I left out one crucial detail, so I'll ask it again. I was wondering if anyone knew any websites where you could post your own stories. I would be writing about my own characters, so fan fiction websites are not what I'm looking for. Also, the websites would have to be free, since writing is merely a hobby for me. So please don't suggest fan fiction sites, or where you have to pay to post your stories. I'm not really sure what category to place this question in, so sorry if it's not in the right one. Thanks in advance.

How can I help children to write their own books?

This depends on the age group.Assumption : 4–10 year old kid. By book, you mean fiction book. Before writing their own books, they need to develop a habit of narrating a story. I would suggest mother tongue to narrate such stories in front of adult or fellow children. Narration will help the child to increase the power of imagination which is very important for writing a book. There are few exercise I can recommend.Give the child 4 words and ask him to create a story using those four words. Then using the same four words ask the child to create another story.Explain him elements of story - Plot, Protagonist, importance time as factor etc, but in a very children friendly way.Ask him to read more fantasy stories and narrate the abridged version of it.All the above exercise will help him in having confidence of telling stories. Writing comes the natural second step. Following exercise I can recommend.Maintain a routine.Ask him to write short sentences first (may be 5–6 words sentence to start with).Encourage him to use more adjectives, adverbs, phrasal verbs.Ask him to pause few minutes before writing sentence.Help him to imagine an entire plot before writing. There are many such tips to help a child write great stories. In recent times, StoryMirror has launched India’s biggest Writing Competition - 'StoryMirror Schools Writing Competition - 2018 (SSWC 2018)' for students of class 4 to class 12 and all TEACHERS. Win Prizes worth Rs. 40,00,000/-If your child is able to produce great stories, encourage him to participate in the competition.
