I have 3 week old american bulldog puppies. I have been bottle feeding 1 (which is the runt) now her can not poop. I have taken him to the vet 2 times now and they give him an enama. I have called a few vets to get thier advice and they all tell me something difforant. mostly I cant give him anything. I have rubbed his tummy and butt with a warm rag. HELP!! He isn't pooping as often as you think he should because at 4 weeks old he probably isn't eating very much. As for solid food making him sick, he shouldn't be getting solid food until 7 or 8 weeks old. I wouldn't recommend giving him goat milk, but I don't see how it could harm him if you did. Just so you know, puppies aren't supposed to come home until 8 weeks old, but in your circumstances there wasn't really much of a choice. Oh, also, instead of just giving him goat milk, (I assume that's what you are doing by what you've said) you may want to also give him some soft food. Because he is so little, you have to be very careful about what you feed him, so check the ingredients and get a really good brand. I would also recommend putting him on a grain free diet, because with my Yorkshire Terrier once he went to grain free he was much healthier and I know this sounds weird, but his poop was firmer when before it had been kind of mushy. You can always tell that your dog is healthy when his poop is firm but not too firm that he'll get constipated. Again, it sounds really weird, but it is true, most of the time. Hope I helped!

My question is she cant seam to poop she tries and then starts to cry and stops her butt gets big like there's something there to big to come out . What can I do for her ? Usually the problem corrects itself. More than one week is quite a long time, however. Is your puppy still eating with appetite and drinking well? If not, or if the problem persists, you might consult a vet.
