Helping An Unhappy Boss Being Ordered To Bring In A Doctor

My boss told me a co-worker complained about my body odor. What can I do?

Some people have body scents that a shower can't get rid of.
Every time before you go to work, take a shower and use degree. If you already do that, and don't smell stink, then you have nothing wromng with you.

The co-worker must of smelled someone else and thought it was you. Sometime people get confused where the scent is coming from.

If people still say you stink go see a doctor to make sure you are alright. I think you will be fine and it could be a mental thing now.

Good luck and no matter what, stay focus on the job my friend

Employment Law: A boss told me that my brain is not functioning. I went to the hospital and the doctor told me that my brain does not have any problem. Then the boss sent my mother a book and sent an email to her. Is there anything that can be done in this situation for the damages? He does not reply to an email any more.

You went a hospital based on your boss's opinion of your mind vs your work and he then proceeds to communicate to your Mother (yikes on both sides!). Forget the damages. He'll pay for his stupidity sometime. You need to get another job. It would also be good to find a work mentor that is willing to coach you on how to deal with crazy situations at work so you don't expend money going to a hospital. I would suggest someone older, perhaps retired or an older relative who you perceive as wise.

Need a doctor's note, but have no insurance?

Here's what I would do.....call and speak to your supervisor or human resources. Explain that you totally understand the 90-day thing, but........

(1), you don't have health insurance and it's at least $75 (or whatever in your area) for an urgent care center visit

(2), it's not like the doctor can "test" for a stomach virus. All they could state on the form was that when you were examined, you had an elevated temperature, if you had one. No one in the doc's office wants exposed to it, so it doesn't make sense to expose the medical staff and other patients to the stomach bug, especially when there's nothing the doc can do other than advise rest and increasing clear liquids.

See if they will accept your verbal explanation- if not, to be honest, I wouldn't want to work somewhere that the "letter of the law" was more important than common sense. From what you've written already, I don't think you'll be heartbroken if you left (on your own accord or at their recommendation!

Good luck!

Need to see doctor with no insurance or money?

I called out of work today because I'm beyond miserable with a cold that I caught from my boyfriend. I called out and my boss called me back and told me that if I don't get a doctors note, I won't get paid for the holiday on monday. I have no insurance (since they don't offer part-timers any health insurance) and have maybe $20 to my name due to paying my bills. I really would like to get paid but I don't have the funds or insurance. What do I do? Its silly to go to the hospital because I don't want no bill from them. I am in Greensboro, North Carolina and have no idea who to go to or whatnot. Do I go to the doctor and get a note in order to get paid...or should I just not go and forget about everything? Any suggestions of what I should do or any doctors locally in the Greensboro area that I can make a visit to that can help me out?

My new boss is testing me, I need ideas on how to reply please!?

So, I just started working at this Dr office one day ago. I learn fast just that they haven't had the time to train me right. This manager is the one who's in charge of everything but the real boss is actually her husband, the Dr. So she told me that I should not transfer any calls to him whatsoever & I'm well aware of that. Today she called my extension line acting like she someone else.. a Dr trying to contact the Dr ASAP. I don't know the extension #s of anyone in the office (it's a big office) not even the names of all the coworkers there.. what's worse is that the few girls that help me all agreed to leave the room, managers orders. So I told her the Dr was seeing patients but I could transfer her to his wife, ofcourse "the lady" did not agree & insisted on talking directly to the Dr. I put her on hold & tried to get someone to help me on what to do cuz I thought the manager was calling me from her office line, I didn't know how to transfer the call since she was using it with me. I later found out she was using her phone & well she got upset cuz I left "the lady" on hold for 2 minutes. She said she would try me one more time.. I'm stressing out! I just want somebody to have the time to train me on everything I need so I can do this on my own they don't have to do this! Anyway so my question is some professional ways to respond to this lady who's gna call tomorrow.. please help out guys! Please no rude comments all your answers will be greatly appreciated thanks so much!
