Helpp With This History Q

Help with history?

k well all these people spent time telling you what a general thesis statement is.
well im in ap us history right now and we just finished reviewing the Louisiana Purchase.
my teacher told me for history that the formula for thesis statement is:

thesis = cause + effect

thats for essays. im not sure if your doing an essay but i would say that it would work for anything. so for the L.P. a good example thesis would be:

ex. Jefferson brilliantly proposing and fulfilling the Louisiana Purchase proved to benefit America through economic and communal growth.

Please help me with this history Q?

Evidence from a couple of resources, would be from books, archeological information, old documents... One e-book announcing whatever isn't adequate to claim that a declare is right, a e-book that's subsidized by way of archeological proof and old money owed is a little more cast. For instance, I would say that a e-book state that a man or woman existed. Would that be adequate to end up that they did certainly exist? Now say this e-book defined wherein and the way they lived, parties they participated in, and wherein they had been buried. You ship groups of archeologists to the entire locations the e-book describes to evaluate them, each and every group unearths proof of settlements, farm implements, pottery, guns and a grave on the correct locations the e-book defined. They even discover old files from the ruling govt that describe and consider the e-book's declare. While that could nonetheless now not be evidence of the books claims, it could such a lot obviously drastically reinforce them. There is certainly proof assisting one of the crucial biblical claims of towns, kings, and wars, however that certainly not is proof that the bible is one hundred% actual as just a small quantity of it is extra mundane claims were proven by way of external resources.

Can u help with some world history Q's about imperialism?

Hi.

These answers may be found in your textbook if you have one. But I'll do my best. I can't answer all of your questions because I don't have any kind of book... So I'll just try.

1. I'm guessing this would be the "White Man's Burden", the belief that "white" countries (European nations/Empires and the United States) should colonize the world, but also that Imperialism should be beneficial to the colonized (e.g. through "developing" countries, raising standards of living etc.)

2. I think that's the Christian Taiping Revolt.

3. Cecil Rhodes - Rhodesia.

4. Sati is when a widow kills herself after her husband dies. I had to look this one up.

5. The Suez Canal

6. I don't know.

8. This question is far too vague. The only answer would be "missionary".

9. British Sepoys and Sowars.

10. Don't know.

11. This is known as the "Caste System"

12. Opium

13. Rudyard Kipling (author of the "White Man's Burden", I think?)

14. Indian National Congress

15. Don't know.

16. I think it might be "Most Favoured Nation" status... I don't know, though.

17. Don't know. I know bugger-all about China.

18. The German Empire, united in 1871 by Bismark.

19. Segregation. This was specifically known as "Apartheid" in South Africa.

20. Morocco was given to France by Britain in the early 1900's (I don't know the exact date.) This led to a conflict with Germany

21. These people were known as "Boers"

22. Sino-Japanese War - China was defeated by Japan in 1895.

23. Qing Dynasty. But this is a dumb question - European Imperialism has been going on since the 16th Century.

24 Admiral Perry.

Sorry I couldn't answer all of your questions, but I did my best. I guess teenagers don't know everything.
