What is the best scooter to buy in India?

Hi, since you’ve not mentioned any budget, these are some of the best scooty/scooters you can buy in India.Honda Activa i - The Activa i is an offering from Honda for those people who want their scooters to feel light and nimble on the road. It comes with a smaller engine and hence also gives better fuel efficiency than the Activa 4G. It’s a well built, smartly styled scooter which has the punch and the practicality. It offers almost the same features and the specifications as the Activa 4G and costs a little less. Which scooter is best to buy?

Well even for a scooter, consider your riding style too. If you are guy who wants speed or who wants his scooter to reach 60kmph very quickly (under 5 secs) go for scooters with more than 125 cc engine. In this segment you can look for honda activa 125, Suzuki access, vespa, aprilia SR 150 ( really fast power scooter). In this sent Suzuki access is the cheapest one. If you don't want fast scooters, go for smaller capacity ones ranging from 90cc to 110 cc engine options which will in turn give you better mileage and will also save money. Although honda activa is the segment leader in sub 125cc category but it misses out some basic features like digital speedometer, external fuel tank lid (so that you don't need to get off from the scooter while filling up petrol). Also activa is bit expensive than other competitor models. But because of Combi Braking system (CBS) by honda , brakes on activa are really good. And it is also a reliable scooter. Hero pleasure is another scooter which is good. Not as fast as activa but really serves the purpose well. But personally I like TVS Jupiter. Really good scooter with all basic features. If you want some stylish looking scooter you can check honda dio or newly launched grazia.

Which is the best scooty in india?

We have Activa, Wego, Access 125 in our family and have used TVS scooty before.I have already written a similar answer before: Harshal Pol's answer to Which is the best, Jupiter or Activa 5G?I can tell you what you should look for, this will help you in making the right decision.Look for metal body. These days most of the automatic scooters use mostly moulded parts. These parts tend to break on small impacts (which is very common in India) and then you have to replace them. If they are made of metal, they are easily reparable and they won’t break but merely bend a little. It also gives strength to the vehicle. However, this also makes your vehicle heavier so a bit lesser mileage, which I guess, is fine. Access and Wego have mostly metal body while Activa is a lot of plastic.Look for centrally aligned engine like in Wego. This reduces the possibility of skidding significantly. I am not sure about the new one but older activa and Access didn’t have it. Wego and Ntorq have it. I guess Jupiter also has it.Look for bigger wheels and wider tires yet lower seat. Lower the seat more comfortable is the ride. But bigger wheels will help you in rainy season, wider tires just add to the grip and better the braking ability. Access and NTorq lead in this area.Look for easier and cheaper maintenance. In all our scooters, the one that we have driven the most if our Wego and its also the one that needed least repairs (almost nothing other than battery in the last 6 years or so and now we will change tires). Good thing about Activa is that it can survive skipping two service periods, perhaps Wego or Access won’t. So if you think you will possibly not follow the regular service schedule, Activa it is for you.If you plan to keep it for long term, strictly stay away from Activa. Our Activa started having problems after 5 years of use, and problems that are really serious like breaking of belt, a lot of sounds in the engine (and it was maintained well). I would recommend again wego in this case.Decide what your priorities are. Access has the best pickup (drag), Activa has best mileage and wego is somewhat slower in picking up but it has the best ride among all these. TVS has come up with NTorq, I have heard its really good, and we will perhaps buy it soon, but I can’t tell you much about that yet. Hope you find this useful.

Which scooter is the best to buy in India?

Hero maestro...Maintenance is what you pay thru the neck. Honda rips you apart with their services.. Hero is still better.Lighter... Key thing for older generation... Even young folks realise it, when tyres or tubes give away.Accessories: first buy or gifts are best given with accessories, Hero scores here.. Honda charges for it ....Puny one: hero gives points, vouchers for servicing on birthday's ..... It'll set some smile ..... For you it's the occasion you are gifting ...:)Ensure to collect your good life reward card at delivery, document holder & mugs during free service from Hero showroom/service centre...Mileage: I don't have stats for maestro(still need 2 more months), but word on street is maestro is 4-5 kmph better than peers ... Sorry Raam bharose for this,..... Going with hero's image with splendor series...Suzuki access has 6 litre tank, TVS Jupiter has 5 litre tank... Successive Activa's are coming down.... From 6 litre in 2006 to 5.7 to 5.3 now in 2016...Remember one thing with all these scooters .... Don't trust the breaks on them, better apply breaks more & earlier often than risk an accidentScooters tend to give you back pain, as the shock absorbers in bike are mostly missing here. What you gain with avoiding gears, you lose with pain ... Have the mulaam's handy.Happy riding.

Should i buy a scooter or inline skates?

my vote goes with inlines, the aggressive variety.
more fun? inlines
easier? definately scooter
faster? about the same when you learn to control your skates properly

it takes a while to get used to inlines but you can make things look 10 times more amazing on them like grinds and wallrides and such. and inlines make you look more bada$$ :)

Edit: i forgot, you'll need some really smooth pavements if you're gonna ride street...

Which is the best scooter for ladies?

If you’re a lady wanting to buy a scooter or want to buy a scooter for a lady, base your decision on these factors:1. Height of the lady2. Your budget3. Availability of spares and serviceFor ladies with height less than 5′ 3″ I suggest going in for a scooter that has a lower seat height and lightweight. It will be easy to handle and feet will easily touch the ground. Consider models such as TVS Scooty Pep+ / Scooty Zest, Honda Activa i, Hero Pleasure.Honda Activa 4G/Aviator, Yamaha Ray ZR/Fascino, Hero Maestro, Vespa, Suzuki Access, TVS Jupiter can be considered for taller ladies (5″ 3′ and above). Note that these scooters are powerful with 100+cc engines and heavier than the smaller scooters. Experienced lady riders who are on the taller side can go in for the Aprilia SR 150.In general, I suggest going in for Honda Activa/Aviator/Dio or Hero Maestro because they are sufficiently powerful, comfortable, and reasonably priced. Also, Hero/Honda have a good network of service centers and spares are easily available at most 2-wheeler parts stores. Most local mechanics are comfortable working with these scooters because they are easy to repair/service.

Which is the best scooter I can buy in India between a petrol and electric? Which one is preferable?

Petrol scooter vs Electric scooter comparison:Price : Electric scooters start at a price of Rs.20,000 and the best ones in the market are at around Rs.70,000Cost of running per km for petrol scooter Rs.1.20 to Rs.1.40 per km , for electric scooter 10 to 15 paisa per km.Lower cost of acquisition- If you have an average driving of 1000 to 1500 km per month - the electric scooter can save you Rs. 1200 per month - which is good enough to pay off an EMI for the electric scooter. You wake up to a full tank of fuel every day , if you charge it at night - no more visits to a petrol pumpSome of the electric scooters weigh less than 70 kg vs 90 to 110 kgs weight of petrol scooters - so it is easily manageable to put it on and off the stand.Top speed - most electric scooters have a top speed of around 50 kmph but some like the Okinawa praise can go upto 65 to 75 kmph - so if you are not a speed demon , the top speed is good enough.Additional features in the form of conected apps to locate the scooter etc. are available on most electric scootersThe lithium battery can be removed and charged any where in some electric scooters - so every plug point is like a petrol pump - just like Mr.Nandan Nilekani of INFOSYS once said , every person with a phone can become an ATM.Build quality , braking , etc. are pretty good in electric scooters too. Some people feel that electric scooters do not work well when you encounter a hill climb - my suggestion therefore is that if you’re not living in a hilly area - an electric scooter is the best buy.The best scooter you can buy is the Okinawa Praise electric scooterCheck out more electric scooters on www.elevehicle.com PRICE OF ELECTRIC CARS AND ELECTRIC SCOOTERS IN INDIA

What kind of motorcycle should I purchase? I'm looking for a street bike, not a cruiser.?

I'm also 5'5" and weigh 128lbs. I am very new to riding like you and female. I wanted a bike that was light and low to the ground and I highly recommend the Kawasaki Ninja 250 as a beginner bike. Both my feet are firmly planted flat on the ground with this bike and it's pretty light and easy for me to maneuver. Get used one so if you drop it it won't so painful.
