Hey Im Doing Dipolama I Would Like To Became An Air Hostess Wat I Have To Do To Became

How do I become a air hostess?

Well, where should I start. Firstly, know that this job is a lot more than it seems. Its not just dressing up and traveling for free. For a lot of flights you don't even stay in the city. Plus the job is very demanding, both physically and mentally. You are constantly away from your family, and you are always sick and exhausted. Your working day could easily be 17+hours with little breaks. You could start work at any time of day, and you are guaranteed to work on weekends and all holidays. Its not just a job, it becomes your life. If you are only interested in the job to travel, forget it. They can see right through that and will never hire you. Many people try and join just for the free trips.

My recommendation:

1) Finish high school and go to college. Get the Canadian citizenship and become completely fluent in English. Minimize your accent if you have one. Be able to speak clearly and with ease. Get a degree in whatever interests you. To become a flight attendant, get a degree in customer service, tourism, or nursing.
2) Get a lot of experience in customer service, and then experience in nursing/paramedic/fire fighter/police officer/life guard/childcare etc
3) CPR and First Aid certificates
4) Height in proportion to weight.
5) Immaculate grooming. Get used to painting your nails.
6) Be able to lift 25kg above your head unaided and with ease and swim 25m unaided.

That's all I can think of. This is just a general list.

All airlines have different requirements, so go to their website for more information. I know some Canadian airlines require you to be fluent in French.

Benefits and pay will be very low for the first 5-10 years. Many crew sleep in shared apartments at first because they can't afford to pay the rent. Depending on the airline and your seniority, you may get discounted tickets for you and your immediate family.

And your friends may tell you that your are nice, but that might not help. You need to be polite, yet assertive. Your voice should be soft and respectful, but be firm while giving directions.

Its very difficult to get in because so many people want to become cabin crew. On average only 10% of people that apply are actually hired.
