Hey Is This Your Outer Forearm

Would this tattoo look better on inner or outer forearm?

http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b285/DerrisKharlan/phoenix1.png

My first tattoo was on the inner forearm of my right arm. I'm debating where I should put this one. My appointment is for tomorrow so I don't know what one to choose. My outer forearm seems skinnier if that makes sense, and itll probably wrap around to the side a bit.

Also, what's a good way to ignore pain? My first hurt on the inner forearm, never really got numb or went away for the full hour but it wasn't unbearable. I'm thinking 2 shots of vodka and an advil before I go in?

Is there a proper way to cut yourself?

Everyone's gonna tell you not to cut. I know you can't listen. You're not there yet. That's ok. For now. So to answer your question: if you haven't started yet, you should probably start with something that doesn't cut deep. To get used to the scratching and the feeling. Also because if you cut yourself with a bobbypin you usually can't cut deep enough for scars, so if you decide you don't want to you won’t have ugly scars everywhere pretty. After you get comfortable with this get a razor. It's hard to cut deep enough to kill yourself or get stitches. At least in my experience. It will be hard to cut deep espec at first. Just try not to slice down really hard. Personally I prefer burning though. Lots of pain, smaller scars. But whatever you do, make sure you CLEAN them. You really aren't going to want an infection. Like seriously. And once you figure out that it's not worth it. That it will never take the pain away, talk to someone It doesnt have to be a shrink. Just someone you trust. A best friend. A parent. Priest. Scout master. I don't know. Just keep in mind it's not worth it in the long run.

How do I build muscle on my forearm and wrists?

If you haven't done so, try wrist curls and reverse wrist curls using a pair of dumbbells or kettle bells. Of course, you will want to do this after (not before) your composite exercises for the upper body.

The guys I see with the biggest forearms are often rock climbers who are constantly using their hands and finger tips to hold their body weight. For training they will do fingertip pullups.

Is this a broken forearm?

Without any obvious deformity, it isn't very possible to tell if your arm is broken without an x-ray. It most likely isn't broken if you can still have full range of motion as you described and there isn't any swelling. You probably pulled a muscle or bruised your arm badly. If you are concerned about a fracture, then you have to tell your parents and ask them to take you to the emergency room for an x-ray.
Treatment would include rest, ice, compression (wrap an ace bandage around your forearm, but not too tight as to cut off circulation), and elevation.

Houston Oilers tattoo?

Hey fellow Houstonian yes it would look good and a good place would be the outer forearm or the chest area and even the calf

Lump in arm after IV.?

this is called a hematoma and is not unusual, but your lump has been there a bit too long and will need the care of a doctor. whomever did your iv peirced the vein wall completely. this caused the blood to pool and makes an ugly bruise. somehow, your vein wall may still be open, if not, then you may just take longer to heal. your iv was infiltrated, this means the blood backed up and this is what caused the knot. hey, it happens a lot. your iv may have been unattended too long, but this usually does not make a court case, you can ask that the hospital pay your iv med bill. until you see a doctor, try alternating heat and cold packs at 20 minutes every 2 hours, it should improve, you may just be a slow healer.

What does the expression "wax on wax off" mean?

Yes, it is from the Karate Kid. Wax on, wax off is the movement of your hands when performing circles to block the opponents moves. If you watched Karate Kid, take a look again when he is washing Mr. Miagi's car. Painting a fence is a theory of blocking moves. One hand for washing the car and the other hand for drying it. It's a philosophy of gaining strength in your arms and going with the flow of things in your own timing like going with the rhythm.. Like Bruce Lee once said, "be water my friend."

When doing push-ups, should I put weight on my inner wrists or outer wrists?

Honestly it doesn’t make a gigantic difference where you put your weight on your wrists wholeness doing push-ups. But hey, if you find you’re more comfortable doing one over the other go for it!

What is the proper technique with which to punch someone in the face?

There is a basic technique to throwing a properly punch that should reduce the risk of injuring your hand. Make a fist by curling in all of your fingers and placing the thumb over the top. Don't put the thumb inside the fist. When you punch, whether it is a straight punch, uppercut, or a wild haymaker, the important part is to be conscious of the line of action. Ideally you need to make contact with the area between your index and middle finger knuckles. As import as the striking location is the direction of the force. See the first image below, you'll notice the wrist is slightly rotated so that the index finger and knuckles extend out further than the pinky finger knuckles. This puts the hand bones behind your index finger and middle finger in direct alignment with your forearm bones. This is critical, if you punch with this rotation, the force will be able to travel straight through your hand and into the bones of your forearm, delivering maximum force and reducing the chance of injury. If you, however, punch with the opposite method, leading with an outside knuckle, you have a very high likelihood of giving yourself a boxers fracture.I know the above from experience, having broken my hand from poor technique in the past. A boxer's fracture is painful and embarrassing.Make a fist like this (focus on the rotation at the wrist)Not like this:Unless you want this to happen. If you are going to punch them in the face, it may be painful, but striking almost anywhere will be very painful for them. popular targets are the nose, which can be broken and tends to bleed profusely, the eyes, which is very disorientating, and the chin. If possible, avoid the forehead.
