Hey Just Wanted To Ask What You Guys Think About This Tattoo

What do you guys/girls think of this tattoo idea?

It will be on the top middle of my back near my neck, in the center of my shoulder blades is the hungarian coat of arms, because im 50% hungarian, and reading from left to right around the coat of arms, "Ancora Imparo" which means I am still learning. And traditionally with the coat of arms goes the saying "Bizalmam az osi erenyben" which means "my faith in the ancient virtues", but i cant decide if i want that in there as well. Ideas? Criticisms? Negetivity is not appreciated.

What do guys think of girls having lower back tattoo's?

I think that if you want to do it then do it. I have been a tattoo artist for 10 years now and do lower back tattoos every day. They dont make you look trashy. My wife and I are both very heavily tattooed and we both do very well in life. People say think about what its going to look like when your 40. It will look the same. I tattooed a 65 year old lady two days ago and she was cool as hell and her tattoo came out great. If you want to get it then get it dont worry about what other people have to say. And to Laura C down at the bottom you dont get heppitits over time. You get it from dirty people or dirty needles. Its not something that is gradually obtained.

Do people with tattoos get annoyed when asked about them?

Sometimes, often not.I have hundreds of stories of what I'd call "drive by comments". The "dude, nice ink" variety. Maybe a few dozen people who want to take a picture of the meat cuts on my left arm. Some people commenting on the knife. Those are OK. It doesn't "annoy" me as much as it sometimes makes it hard to tell someone you're in a hurry. They're generally nice about it.Then there's the "what made you do THAT" variety. They're generally a little older. Or the "let's make gagging noises while following him around" as happened twice so far, both a smelly, scrawny, hominid of the homo veganensis variety. They're annoying. Slightly annoying are people who really, really, want the whole story right then and there, on the street. I don't mind in a bar or cafe, but while I am on my way somewhere ... not so much. The most annoying ones, however, without a doubt, are those who start long conversations about their tats, feeling a kinship that just isn't there. I wonder if people with mascara on start hour long conversations with strangers about their mascara. Or people wearing crocs feel a kinship with other people wearing them (well, aside from the "forever alone" factor they share). In a sense I know that I have no right to be annoyed about questions. I still am, somewhat, but it's the "you put it out there, you deal with the consequences" factor. If I didn't want people to stare, ask, and question, I'd have the ink on my butt or somewhere else it's not in everyone's face. My arms, though ... well, sleeves are a form of "hey, look at me" billboarding.I have four tats in places that aren't visible in polite company (unless that company is at the pool, my doctor, massage therapist, or lover). Those mean the most to me and are there for a reason - showing them means to be comfortable telling the story. The ones I have in very public places, well, they're as open and public as I am...

How do you tell your parents you want to be a tattoo artist?

Hey I'm 17, and I'm training to be a tattoo artist. Right now, it was only drawing like crazy and learning all i could from books and stuff, but a good tattoo artist saw my work and asked me to work with him as an apprentice soon, prob over september or so. I was so glad somebody gave me a chance, you guys have no idea this has been my dream since I remember, weird I know, but it is what it is, and know it's comin' true. I have tattoos myself, not authorized by my parents but they know now. my mother likes them. My dad it's ok with them. But now I have to take this opportunity whatsoever. not everybody has my luck, and I really want to do this. I want to study a career but this is my dream. And i have no idea on how to tell my dad. Any advice or help would be really REALLY appreciated. thanks a lot guys, have a great one :)

Leg tattoos on guys? For the ladies only.?

Hey now.

I currently do not have any tattoos but would like to get one somewhere that is not completely visible at all times in case i regret it later, but yet can still be shown off when I want it to. I was thinking of getting the John Lennon doodle like the one in my avatar, only maybe in just black somewhere on my lower leg near the ankle so its visible if I wear shorts. My guy friends say that this is girlie so I would like your opinion if it is or not and if you would think if it was attractive on a guy. Also, do you think its a good idea for a tattoo? I'm 19 and have been listening to the beatles since I was 5 and John Lennon is definitely a huge hero of mine......ANYWHOO, let me know your honest opinion so I won't end up regretting this!! Peace.

How do I stop my girlfriend from wanting a nose piercing and a tattoo?

You don’t.You don’t stop other people from decorating their bodies however they like. You express your opinion, and that’s it. They may weigh your opinion and say “you know, you’re right.” They may weigh your opinion and say “you know, I really want to do this.” They may weigh you opinion and say “I don’t care what you think.” But at the end of the day, her body, her rules. She gets to decide how it’s decorated. You don’t like the idea. Okay, that’s cool; we all have preferences. But your preferences are not more important than hers when it comes to how to decorate her body.Hey, if that’s a dealbreaker for you, then it’s a dealbreaker for you. I may personally think it’s a silly dealbreaker; having been with people who are pierced, you soon stop noticing the piercing. But what I think about your dealbreakers isn’t important. If you can’t be with someone who’s pierced and tattooed, it’s your life. But her body is hers. You may have some input in an advisory capacity, but you can’t stop her from piercing and tattooing it. The final decision rests with her alone.
