Is “It’s a Wonderful Life” the best Christmas film ever made?
I can't deal with It's A Wonderful Life. That movie has like zero meaning to me.I was born in 1960 on the central coast of California. I remember all the early specials of the sixties, A Charlie Brown Christmas and Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer. And don't forget Boris Karloff as the Grinch in the classic The Grinch Stole Christmas. But I never watched Wonderful until just a couple of years ago. I thought it was one of the stupidest things that I have ever seen.Every time a bell rings, an angel gets it's wings. What horse shit! Some sorry ass angel has to work to impress some invisible god? A guy doesn't think his life has had any meaning so he's going to off himself? Hey, guess what? In the grand scheme of everything and forever, nothing any of us do will have any meaning! Once our Sun becomes a red giant, this planet is dust, and nobody gets out alive. Everything wiped from existence, nothing to remember anyone by.I'd rather watch A Christmas Story. At least Ralphie and his family are more along the lines of realism. And it's one funny fuckin' movie!
