Hi Guys How Do U Write A Speech For The Student Council Like If You

Is this a good Student Council speech for treasurer?

I would say, dont start with bigging yourself up. you need to get the people to agree with you before you present yourself as the person to change things.

Infact i think the kubler ross model works well for speeches - (5 stages of denial) - denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.
Stage 1, the audience propably doesnt agree with you
stage 2 - make them angry with the school or other candidates
stage 3
bargain with them (this is my proposal/ what i will do
stage 4 - depression (skipped)
stage 5 - acceptance, you need the audience to accept that you are the right candidate.

also, no one cares if your good at maths, you use nearly a whole paragraph saying how good at math you are. one sentence should be enough. saying the benefits of "theatre night" and other examples can be affective, otherwise your just saying initiatives with no benefits. e.g. "Theatre Night" where they work and write together to produce a play, which is then shown to the other students. This can allow for more funding for equipment and school trips...blah de blah and so on.

saying "we can have a fun time" sounds lame :/

Unless your the most popular kid in school, don't say "We or Us" when talking about doing stuff with the students, it will put them off.

"Also, I would like to see a" - flip that round to say - i would also like to see a. it flows better

promising that everything will come true is an obvious lie. This would put student off.

you need to grab the attentions of all clubs, the sport/popular groups and the dreamers (crossing all groups).

the last line from the intro in the source can be adapted and used. "whatever you do dont be bored, this is absolutely the most exciting point to be alive." - (just what i would use

Good luck with your speech :D

Vice President Speech for Student Council?

Hi, I'm applying to be the Vice President of the schools Student Council. We have to submit applications in along with a paragraph that shows personal qualities and experiences + why I want this position and feel that I am the best candidate for the job. What do you think of this paragraph? Also, about the line, "I am determined and will work to my greatest potential to make this year the most memorable year ever, for it is my last year as well," I also wanted to add in that I am graduating one year early. What should I write?

Hi, my name is Amy Sran and I am running for the position of Vice President of Student Council for the 2011-2012 school year. I have been on First Class Honour Roll since grade 8 and I work very hard to maintain a 3.5 GPA. I am determined and will work to my greatest potential to make this year the most memorable year ever, for it is my last year as well. It is the job of the Vice President to help the president and it is both our jobs to represent the fellow students. I will take this job seriously and do it to the best of my ability. I am not afraid to voice my opinions or stand up for what I believe in. I value creativity and am willing to brainstorm ideas and alternative ways to resolve problems. I have also been in many clubs such as the Global Issues Club, the Japanese Club, Counter Attack and I have past experience of being one of the executive members of the Student Council as a Secretary. As the vice president, I will be ready and willing to listen to the insight and ideas of others, in hopes making this school year the best. It’s really the ideas and hard work that can make it a better year for all of us.

How do I write a student council representative speech?

Speech writing is not like writing an essay, because what matters is how the people listening to it interpret it then and there.Start off by greeting your peers and whoever's listening. There's room for a joke here to get their attention. Don’t overdo it. The speech should only get more serious as it goes on. Remember, you want to be elected not to be branded as a “cool guy” but to do something, make some changes that will benefit your peers. You have to give them a reason as to why you're running for grade representative, because that would increase your credibility. Make the reason valid and special. People should think your reason is genuine and not merely generic. You have to tell them what you plan on doing once you are elected, and the changes you will introduce. In the longer run, keeping your promises is important to maintain your image as a trustworthy leader. So don't make promises you can't keep. And keep it genuine, once again. This must be done with some maturity. You can't go ahead and say anything just to get your classmates to vote for you.Sign off by once again expressing your interest in the welfare of your peers. Include a quote here to make an impact.Delivery is the most important factor. You have to sound confident, powerful and believable. All the best.

I need ideas for my 5th grade student council speech?

My name is _____. I know I would be an excellent candidate for class president because of my loyalty, honesty and perseverance. (Tell what you have been doing the past years. For example, participated in student council, participated in many after school activities, gets good grades, etc.) Also tell why the kids will have a good year. Will you talk to the person in charge and schedule fun activities for people to do? And also, make sure people like you because you are nice, and people know that you are dedicated to making the year great!

I need a really good speech to be student council president?

"I have a dream. I have a dream that one day, detentions will not be handed out to students. I have a dream that one day, teachers will be required to be nice to students. I have a dream that one day, tests will be simpler and easier to understand. I have a dream that one day, bullying will not be a problem. I have a dream that one day, I'll be student council happen. Make my dream come true, and I'll make yours come true."

or something like that. Tweak it a little.

What do you think about my speech? It's for grade 10 rep. on Student Council..?

A little touch of humor to keep your audience on their toes wouldn't hurt! Otherwise, not bad! Your English is good and sentences concise and to the point, all of which is an amazing feat considering that you read this board! Or maybe you don't!

Good luck

Speech for Student Council Vice President Election?

It depends.. if you're the kind of person that can pull off something, funny, then do it. Like my friend ran for class president last year and he did his entire speech in an irish accent and talked about the randomest things. He won. Or someone else's whole speech, which I thought was really clever, was all high school musical songs (it went something like: Come on guys, its our last year of middle school, and we're all in this together, so lets break free and start something new. etc etc, lets go guys, get your head in the game and vote for me!) haha it was better than how i described it though. other people made up songs, etc.

Even if you aren't the kind of person that can pull that off, don't do the typical "Hi I'm running for this here are three reasons why you should vote for me" thing. If you need to do a normal speech, make it a little interesting. I always tune out on those speeches, and I'm sure most people do too. When you decide on your slogan, say it at the end of your speech and have your friends in the audience jump up and shout it out with you. People will remember you more. Or start off with a story, instead of reading from a paper.
Oh! I just got an idea. I know this is probably overused but maybe you could do..
"I had a dream. That one day...(etcetera, begin the MLK speech) ..I would be your vice president!" and elaborate.
oh geez. i hope I could help:)

How can I, as a student, make my school a better place?

Often what a school needs to become a better place is for everyone--students and adults--to treat each other better.Treat everyone with respect--fellow students, faculty, administrators. Help keep your school clean--if you walk along and see a gum wrapper on the floor, pick it up and throw it out. Acknowledge people.  If you see someone you know, smile and say hello.  If you pass a teacher you don't know, at least smile.  Include more people in your group of friends. See if another student looks as if s/he is left out--at least introduce yourself and talk to him/her.  You don't have to be friends, but be nice.Recognize that no one is beneath anyone else.  Smile and say hello to the cleaning people as well as the people who work in the cafeteria. If a student says something hurtful or mean about another student, tell them that is not a good thing to say.  It's difficult, but you can tell them that that kind of language makes you uncomfortable.Thank your teacher as you leave class. They have put a lot of effort into preparing the lesson.Improving a school often means improving the atmosphere between students and students and students and adults.  It is not hard for an individual to do, but it requires vigilance.  If more students act this way, the school gradually, and then more quickly, gets better.
