Hi Guys. I Am 13 In The State Of New Jersey

What's so unfriendly about people from new jersey?

I've was also born and raised in New Jersey, and I didn't really think we were that awful, but I went to a state school in Virginia for college and the whole place freaked me out for about a year. People stopped to help me fill my gas tank (I was suspicious, what did they want from me? Was this guy going to rob me?), they chatted in line for AGES to buy a carton of milk (wtf, I just want my groceries, I don't want to wait in line all day), and they drove like complete morons (don't let the guy ahead of you turn right. Make him wait, I have some place to be).

I used to feel awkward if someone was standing out in the rain and I had an umbrella with room to spare. In Jersey, if I offered to share, the other party would think I was a) a freak, b) hitting on them, c) going to steal from them, etc. I don't blame people living NJ either. It's a somewhat dangerous place to live. There's a reason why Megan's Law originated there. But we don't know our neighbors and we don't care to know them. We're friendly to with our friends or even strangers associated with our churches, schools, friends, etc. But you have to have some kind of... credibility I guess, before someone will chat you up.

You never know who's a creep in our state. That's a totally different mentality from the rest of the country. I will say one thing though: Jersey is one of the most diverse states in the Union, and I'm proud of that. In VA one of the girls on my dormitory hall literally said, and I quote, "I think we had a Jew once" [In her town]. I was speechless.

Shows like Blue Mountain State?

Hey guys
So I've recently watched the whole BMS series and I love it! I cannot believe that they did not continue it! Anyways, in order to not to cry over finishing the show, I want to start something similar like it. I like the fact that it is about partying, college, drinking, drugs, friends, and trouble. The football is not a big factor. I'm mainly looking for something hilarious and party-like. If you're a fan of BMS you'll know what I mean.

Thanks !!

How big is too big for a football jersey.?

first of all, you wasted 80% of your money buying from the nfl shop. too big for a jersey, you cant get too big. if you get a big one, and its too big for you, thats a way to grow into it. also, buy from china. you can get a sown jersey from 50 dollars to 100 dollars, when at the nfl shop it costs 250. money wasted.

Is Newark Broad Street Station safe on a Friday night?

I lived there and that station is not bad. Going to town is a different story. Plenty of cops around and alot of people walking around.

Is it legal to shoot a burglar in your own house? Does it matter if their back is turned to you?

In Texas, it generally is legal to shoot a burglar and it doesn’t matter whether his back was turned, inside your house.Someone with his back to you could be picking up something to brain you with, or be heading to the kitchen to get a butcher knife, or going down the hall for your wife or children.According to The Castle Doctrine, he has already demonstrated bad intent towards you and your family by breaking into your habitation while you were in it.Shooting a burglar in the back is sometimes called “Preventative Self Defense”.Not long after The Castle Doctrine was passed, a man in San Antonio found two men in a spare bedroom after having broken in through a garage door.He killed one in the bedroom with a shotgun, while the other pushed past him and ran out a sliding patio door into the back yard.As he was trying to climb over a six-foot wood privacy fence, the homeowner walked out and shotgunned him in the back, killing him too.No charges were filed. I found THAT a little surprising, since the guy was outside, trying to run away. So, “It All Depends”, but history so far is “Yes, it’s legal”, at least in Texas. It should be noted that The Castle Doctrine was passed to keep over-zealous, anti-gun district attorneys from bringing unwarranted charges, and to protect homeowners from civil suits by burglars, or families of deceased burglars. It isn’t a license to knock off your in-laws or something. If you shoot someone who has broken into Your Castle and there’s ANY reason to suspect foul play, murder WILL be suspected and investigated. For instance, if you knew the burglar a detective will start looking for any motive you might have had for murdering him. If they find a motive, you’ll start getting asked some very pointed questions…Or if he (or his dead body) had anything on it which might indicate he was there for a legitimate purpose, THAT will not go unnoticed. The fact that he works for a cable company and has some sales brochures is not going to raise any eyebrows if you shoot him at 11:00pm, but at any time during normal working hours, it will make people wonder things… very inconvenient things for you.So it’s not just a license to shoot people, it’s merely a device to protect homeowners from unwarranted legal problems if they DO shoot someone and it is a justifiable shooting.

What are the ten most obscure facts you can tell me about the history of the United States?

Under Polk first, then Seward after Lincoln’s assasination.Pickett, of Pickett’s Charge fame, was in command of US forces during the Pig Island War, married a native woman, and their home is still standing in Bellingham WA.The first state constitution of Oregon barred Blacks from residency.California settlers killed off most of the Indians who had resided in the state. The Louisiana Purchase came about as Napoleon needed money to restart the war against England not because of American diplomacy. Can somebody please explain to me better about when i turn 16 for driving in NEW JERSEY?

I live in NJ and at 16 if you have taken the written exam at your school or at the DMV you can take a 6 hour driving course for around $300 and get your permit. With the permit you can drive with your parents until 11 at night, you can have whoever in the car, but your parent or someone that is 21 or older and has had their license for 3 years in the front passenger seat. If you get your permit late, NO problem you just have to make sure you have your permit for 6 months. Then when you turn 17 you can go and take your driving exam, which is no sweat because in driving school they go over the course with you and you practice it.
