How do I plan a trip to Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dehradun, and Mussorie?
I had a visit to Mussoorie-Dehradun-Rishikesh-Haridwar in January, 2017 with my friend. I would share my experience here.Day 1From Jolly Grant Airport, we took Taxi to Dehradun. We got great Hotel deals from OYO and we stayed at Hotel Sidhdarth Residency at Paltan Bazar , walking distance from bus depot and railway station. We reached there around 1 pm and after having lunch we left for Guchupani (Rober’s Cave).Water is so clean here. One can not go inside the place by wearing shoes so outside the cave you will find flip-flop on rent for Rs. 10. After spending around 1.30 hours at this place , we reached to paltan Bazar for shopping.Day 2Next morning we visited “Budha Temple” at clement town.In afternoon we took bus for “Mussoorie”. There too we had booking by OYO and stayed at Hotel Hill queen at Mall Road. We reached at library chowk at the time of sun-set and here is a view.We were lucky enough to experience the snowfall.Day 3Lal Tibba is the highest peak at mussoorie. We had decided to reach there by taxi but due to snowfall , we could not go by taxi. So we decided to reach there by walk and it became the beautiful memory. Area from the mall road to lal tibba is known as Landaur. On the way to Lal tibba , we visited St Peters Church and got relaxed near Char Dukan. We stayed at Parmarth Ashram in rishikesh near Ram Jhula. “Ram Jhula” is a cable stayed bridge. We did shopping and roaming around Ram jhula & Laxman Jhula. Rishikesh is the most peaceful place where I have ever been. View of Ram Jhula from “Parmarth Niketan” Ashram.Day 5: It was 14th January and We went to “Haridwar”. This day is known as “Sankrant”. We went at “Har ki paudi” and took dip in ganga river.Day 6: Finally, we did 16 Kms “River Rafting” , Red Chillies Adventure helped us in it.Day 7: Visit to Nilkanth Mahadev temple in Rishikesh, This temple is situated at Hill Top so do not drive by yourself and hire a taxi.N.B.: Places mentioned in answer are more beautiful than they appear in above images.
The sun rises two hours earlier in Arunachal Pradesh as compared to Gujarat, but looking at the watches, they show the same time. How does this happen?
The watches show the same time because:The whole of the India operates to a single time zone i.e India Standard Time ( IST ). It is 5:30 hours (5 hours 30 minutes) ahead of Greenwich mean time(GMT+5.5). It is calculated on the basis of 82.30' E longitude which passes through Allahabad. So, officially there is no time lag between Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat.But yes, sun rises 2 hours earlier in Arunachal Pradesh in compare to Gujarat because:Gujarat lies between 68° E and 74° E longitude and whereas, Arunachal Pradesh is located between 91.20° E and 97.30° E longitude. So, approximately both the states have 29 degree longitude difference in term of location. The time difference between each degree of longitude is 4 minutes and If we go eastward, the local time is advance by 4 minutes with each additional degree and vice versa. As, Arunachal Pradesh lies on eastern side, it will have an advance local time {29 × 4 = 116 (approximately 2 hours}. Therefore, Arunachal Pradesh is 2 hours ahead of Gujarat in term of local time.Due to the different locations, sun not only rises but also sets two hours earlier.
Which one is better Amazon or Flipkart?
