Hi I Drew A Picture Book For English Learners. What Do You Guys Think

How can I learn to write grammatically correct English? What are some books or video lectures that will help me improve?

It is necessary that the basic “structure” of sentences be studied. Most native speakers learn this without studying grammar. The process of memorizing sentences from the time we are small children teaches us how to think continually in terms of basic sentence structure.Nursery Rhymes show us things like:Hickory dickory dockThe mouse ran up the clock. The clock struck one,The mouse ran downHickory Dickory Dock.If you study the Subject———Verb——-Object pattern, you will memorize how to think, write, and speak in terms of basic grammatical structure. The mouse (subject) ran (verb) up the clock (object)An Internet search using the following search termsSubject + Verb + -Objecteither alone or with the term + sentenceswill show you many websites about how to create basic sentences. The following is an example of one such website:Basic Word Order in English: SVO (Subject-Verb-Object)Such websites show how to create sentences with other elements.

Suggest me some good English books to read?

Here are some books to get you started. I think you'll like them because not only are they interesting to read, but they have multicultural subject matter (which I look for) and they're short!

Bronx Masquerade by Nikki Grimes - Students in a New York City high school English class start "Open-Mike Fridays" and recite their own poetry / rap. Each chapter is told from a different student. (167 pages) http://www.shvoong.com/books/children-an...

Romiette and Julio by Sharon Draper - This one may be more like the Princess Diaries. An African-American high school girl, Romiette, falls in love with Mexican-American boy, Julio, despite opposition from parents, community, and school gang members. (236 pages) http://www.shvoong.com/books/romance/202...

Seedfolks by Paul Fleischman - Another short novel told in mini-stories. Thirteen folks from different backgrounds transform a trash-filled inner-city vacant lot into a beautiful community garden. (70 pages) http://www.shvoong.com/books/children-an...

If these don't work for you, maybe you can ask your friends who are book worms what books they are reading...

Is it possible to learn drawing if you don’t have any drawing skills?

Yes, but don’t expect to get from point A to point B easily. Learning to become better at drawing can take years. Since you say “professional” artists say that you have no talent I can tell you right now: You were not talking to professional artists. A true professional artist would not tell you that, they would maybe say your art is bad and tell you how to improve it but if they're just saying “You have no talent.” then you shouldn't take their advice, theyre terrible artists for not giving proper critique. Even the most unskilled of artists know that anyone can draw. As long as you have hands (or feet or whatever you can draw and write with) and are capable of learning, congratulations! Youre already on your way. You just need to put effort into learning the basics of art and how to use those skills in your art. Seek critique, watch videos, study life, and most important of all, have fun!TL;DRIf you are physically and mentally capable of drawing and learning, you can learn to draw.

Is the word "guys" gender-neutral? Is it appropriate for a male to address a group of women or mixed gender people as "guys" (as in "hey guys!") or refer to such a group as "you guys"?

Language is very much culturally dependent. This answer applies to my age/regional/socio-economic group and many others within the US, but might not apply to others.People understand "guys" in the second person plural to be gender neutral. Using "hey guys" and "you guys" (or even "guys" as short hand when in the second person) is use to address all men, all women, or mixed-gender groups. There is no issue with using it, therefore. However (and I'm guessing this is why you've heard that it's not politically correct), "guys" is not gender neutral in the third person. Just think about how your brain reacts to these statements:"I talked to a few guys at the mothers group.""We need to hire some new guys as nurses.""I saw this one guy driving and she was out of control."Did you hear "guy" as a man? Did you think the sentence looked funny at all? If so, that's because "guys" isn't gender neutral for you in the third person. This is why it's not politically correct to say things like:"Have you talked to the IT guys yet?""Startups are best with at least two guys involved."

I can't draw without a reference?

next time you draw, dont only copy from the refrence, try learning from it. you should learn how the face is shaped, the shades it creates, etc. If u draw a horse without a refrence, you will draw something with a 4 legs, right?. regardless of how good it looks in the end.
i doubt that you forget to draw the fourth leg just because you dont have a reference.this is because you learned, that a horse has 4 legs. now i suggest you need to "learn" more, so that you know what a face looks like, or a human body, and how it behaves in certain activities,
all without seeign a reference.

my advice is practice a lot, and don't be scared to use papers.
sorry about my english i hope u understand what im saying :P
