Pain on right side of my knee?
Okay, so my right knee locks occasionally and it has ever since I was about 6 years old. Well, yesterday I was running and it locked on me and I fell down. As I fell, my knee twisted and I heard a loud pop. I laid on the floor for about 5-10 minutes in excruciating pain, but it slowly faded away. I got up and my leg still kind of hurt, but it wasn't unbearable. This morning I woke up to a sharp pain in my knee and it has been hurting ever since. I can walk fine unless I have been sitting down for a while and the pain is on the outer side of my right knee. If i bend my knee to the side, it hurts the most. I am not sure what is wrong and am wondering if I should go to the doctor or just not worry about it? Has anything like this happened to anyone else?
My knee on the inside feels hot.....?
The inside of the knee is the side closest to your other knee. This side is known as the MEDIAL side of your knee. Again, this area can be subdivided into three major areas. The first is the spot where your joint begins otherwise known as your joint line. This is where your femur (thighbone) meets your tibia (shinbone). Again it is easiest to locate this spot with your knee bent at 90 degrees. At the corner of this angle is your joint line. Pain at this site may mean you have a tear in your cartilage ring called the meniscus. Because your collateral ligament is attached to your medial meniscus, you may also have an injury to your collateral ligament — the medial collateral ligament (MCL). Pain on the inside of your knee can also be due to arthritis. Pain above your joint line may mean that you have an injury to your collateral ligament or even some swelling to the capsule of your joint from another injury somewhere else in your knee. The are below the joint line is located by feeling down only a few inches from the joint line along your shinbone. If you have pain just below your joint line you may have either a bursitis of an area where three tendons come together to attach to your shinbone called the pes bursa. This received its name because it resembles the foot of a duck and pes is Latin for foot. If your pain is more to the middle of your knee, this may due to an injury to your MCL.
Hit the inside of my knee..help?
Hi, during a bad landing from a trampoline i hit my right knee facing the inside of my leg. It was a direct hit flat on the inner side of my leg where my knee is. Since then when i feel a mild pain every now and then when i walk but does not hinder my activities. It has been about 2 weeks now. I didn't have any swelling or visible bruise after just a funny pain. If you look a knee directly with the patella facing toward you agian the direction i hit my right leg was flat on the side facing my other leg. Any ideas what kind of injury this was and if its something that will go away on its own? Any advice would help. Thanks
My knee cap moves side to side?
I do vigorous dancing every day, I'm in high school and one knee cap, when I lock my knees, moved. When I sit down, my knee hurts. However, my mom thinks there's "nothing wrong" and wont do anything about it. What can I do in the meantime to keep whatever happened from getting worse? I can walk run and dance fine, it just hurts and moved. What do you think happened? I didn't tear anything did I?
Really bad knee pain?
hi, I have sufferd from knee pain in my right knee for a long time, and have done nothing about it since i started my new job which i stand all day long, and tha pain is getting worse. Its wierd when i run upstairs, like it feels like my knee comes out of place and hurts so much, i have to take it slow when i walk upstairs now, as it really hurts when this knee pain comes. I stand all day at work, and i get ache-in pains, and some times really sharpe pains. really hurts! If i press at the inner side of my knee, it feels briused like theres a briuse there, but i cant see anything, and theres no swelling. But when i get a pain like im standing its not just on the side its all over but not at the back, its the front of my knees. Please help! Im not over wieght and im only 18! actully turned 18 in november! And some more information, i used to play football about 4 years ago, but it didnt hurt that much as it does now. I have tryed every painkiller, and brace !
Feel like my leg has a heart beating inside?
hi:) you can normally feel like your heart is beating inside your hand, wrist, neck, stomach and other places to if you hurt them especially all it is is the blood from your actuall heart being pumped around you body its really normal! you can test it by lying down and relaxing and putting a glass on your stomach and it will beat up and down! hope this helps:)
Do i have a knee injury?
Hi i was wondering if I have a knee injury. Everytime i bend my knee alittle bit )and tense it I feel this very acute pain ( I wouldnt even call it a pain I would call it more like an irritation) inside my knee. It doesnt affect me when I play soccer but I'm wondering if it really is a knee injury and if i slightly pulled a ligament in there and i need to check it out. Also, I think i caused it when I was playing soccer in the house ( what kind of a soccer player doesnt? lol) and i know that when i was trying to pass it i bent my knee to far....it didnt hurt, but i know i kinda extended it too far...thanks in advance P.S. It hasnt gotten worse, but will it if i dont check it out?...im going to play nationals southeastern regionals in like a week
