White kitten with red eyes?

Its a albino.
There's nothing to worry about its just an eye colour.
White cats are very sensitive to sunlight. They need suncream on their ears when really sunny.
I think it sounds really cute.
Im getting a white kitten next week. Its got blue eyes, i would love an albino, iv never had one but they look well cute.

Something to feed a kitten besides cat food?

How old are your daughters? Do you by any chance have meat-based baby food still around? If so, check to see that there is no onions or garlic (bad for cats, could do some real damage to the health, particularly if already weak and sick) in it. That would be a good start. Canned pumpkin is another food that could help tide kitty over until you can get some properly balanced food for her. Another possibility is cooking up some ground beef or minced chicken with no seasonings, rinsing the grease out of it, and mixing it half and half with cooked rice (that was a recipe my vet gave me to help when one of my kitties had some tummy troubles). Of course, none of these options are complete nutrition, so they won't do for a whole lifetime. But they will keep kitty from starving to death until you can get something better. If she is really, really weak, and maybe cannot handle solid food, try an eye dropper with chicken broth (not canned, and not seasoned). Then, as soon as you can, get her some kitten formula, as cow's milk can cause real digestive upset for a cat.

If you end up feeding kitty home made food for the long term, here is some information on how to do that as healthy as possible, and get it well-balanced: http://alter-idem.smartmonkey.org/cats/w...

One thing is, she is quite likely to have worms - but the most effective wormers are only available at a veterinarian's office. This could actually be life-threatening, as a bad infestation could rob her of so much nutrition that she could starve to death even if she was eating well. So veterinary attention as soon as you can manage it would be the best thing you can do for her.

How to help a constipated kitten that is only two weeks old?

It sounds like you probably need to get the poor little baby to a vet ASAP.
How long has it been since he pooped? Definitely if it has been 2 days go to the vet unless you can get him to poop very soon . will give some tips below from kitten-rescue.com. .

(This is more what you should do if the problem is just starting: )
- make the formula more diluted. ( you may need to try to give more total. but it would be thinner / more water & that can help w/ constipation)
- add a couple drops of vegetable oil to the bottle.
- give a very tiny bit of Laxatone - like about the size of a match head

"You can also use a massage technique to try and get his bowels moving. After a feed, lay him on his back and gently massage his abdomen in small circles with your thumbs. Massage his tummy and sides, right up near his spine. What you're doing is mimicking the peristaltic (wave-like) motion that the stomach and bowels use to move the food along. You need to do this for as long as he'll let you. Make sure you massage close to his anus with your thumbs so it begins to connect with the messages from the bowels. Finally, take his little back legs and alternately straighten and bend each one in a cycling motion.
If the kitten still doesn't have a bowel motion, he needs to see a vet."

It may already be such impacted poop inside, he will need a vet to help him......the vet can give him a kind of enema that is safe for kittens.

When you take him to the vet make sure to keep him covered at the vet until in the exam room to try to keep both drafts and germs away.

Hope the little guy will be OK.. Thanks for taking care of the kittens.

3 month Kitten keeps puking and passing stool. Help!?

Hi All,
Need help regarding my kitten.

History -

- Separated from mother at about 2 days after birth. Has been reared by hand since then. Fed a diet of milk formula initially for 6 weeks, and then cerelac ( infant cereal ), rice formula. Had started her on a diet of boiled mashed fish with rice about a week back ( one meal per day, accompanied with the cerelac and milk formula in other meals of the day ).

- She has been given deworming once from the vet at about 6 weeks.

Gave her cat food "whiskas" or something ( made in S.Africa ). Processed meat cutlets in gravy. Mashed them up so she could eat em properly.

After about 12-16 hours, and after taking one meal of cerelac and also milk formula, she started pooping a lot, and passing a lot of urine. All normal in color.

Now she has puked roughly 5-6 times, and at all times whitish froth is coming out. The last she puked i saw a few chunks of the cat food ( very very small ).

Her last stool was quite watery and loose, Other all were normal.

She is looking really de-hydrated, and extremely exhausted with the puking. I tried bottle feeding her some milk formula, but she would not take it, so i dint want to exhaust her more, and have left her to rest.

Please advise, is it just a reaction to the cat food? ( because the cat food was given before also, when she was about 8 weeks, but only twice and in much much lesser amount ).

Should i not feed her anything for the next 6-10 hours and let her system clear itself up, or try and give her something??

- This is the first time handling a kitten, and that too from day 2-3 of birth of the kitten. Have experience with dogs from 2 weeks old, but not with a kitten.

My 3 week old kitten keeps meowing?

How do you know it it 3 weeks old? Go to the petstore and buy kitten formula and a bottle. At three weeks old the kitten is still nursing.

Don't give it regular milk because the lactose in the milk will cause diarrhea, cramps, and gasiness. Otherwise, kittens meow whether somethings wrong or not.

Here is a site about feeding a 3 week old kittne:

Is it okay to feed newborn kittens with regular powdered milk? I'm just a student so I can't afford the actual milk for them. And someone left three kittens in our doorstep. Are there other alternatives?

Absolutely not. Scrape together the money and buy some KMR, kitten milk replacer. They cannot digest cow’s milk. Spend the money you would use to buy your powdered cow’s milk for their health. A container will last you for this group of kittens, as well as any others that the insensitive person who dumped them on you. It keeps very well in the freezer. Also, you didn’t say how old the kittens are. If they look like their eyes are barely open, they will require the KMR for at least four or five more weeks. You can gradually introduce kitten food in the milk. Kittens need to nurse for at least eight weeks, and you will need to introduce kitten food to them very slowly, mixing it into the KMR.If you can’t afford the KMR, you won’t be able to afford the kitten food. Find a NO KILL shelter and ask them if they will accept the kittens. And please check online to ensure that the no kill shelter is actually no kill.I wish you the best. Bless you for bringing them in. Please feel free to message me or reply if you have any questions.

My 9 week old kitten has fleas, I gave him a shower with me and now im bitten everywhere.. need help!!?

well, if you u want to use a flea product for your cat i would suggest you to use Frontline and Advantage brands.frontline is the choice of veterinarians when it comes to combating both fleas and ticks. frontilne is proven protection. frontline Plus killed 100% of fleas within 12 hours of application.
it is long lasting and continues to kill fleas and ticks all month long. it is also approved for use on puppies and kittens 8 weeks of age and older and on breeding, pregnant or lactating cats and dogs and is waterproof: effective even after swimming, bathing and grooming.
also, the Advantage brand for fleas in cats is very effective and safe and kills fleas fast .it has been used by vets and is EPA and FDA Approved. so using one of these two brands for your cat would be a good idea.it usually works so give it a try.

about the flea bites ,, here's what to do:)
Take an oral antihistamine to help reduce the urge to itch.
Wash the bites with antiseptic lotion or soap. Use cool water, because hot water may stimulate itching.
Saturate a cotton swab with tea tree oil and clean the bites.
Apply a hydrocortisone cream to the area to reduce the itch. Read the directions on the tube to see how often you can reapply.
Apply calamine lotion to the bites to prevent itching. When it dries, it will create a light cover over the bites.
Soak in a tepid oatmeal bath.
Place an ice pack on the bites to reduce the swelling and itch.

if your house is infested with fleas, do use a flea bomb ,when choosing one, check to make sure it kills eggs as well as the fleas. If it doesn't specifically say it kills the eggs, then you'll need to bomb a second time 3-4 weeks later to get the ones that hatch before they mature & can lay eggs too.
