What is the best courier delivery service provider in Singapore?

It is my experience that Ta-Q-Bin offers one of the best courier delivery service in Singapore. In essence, you arrange for a pick from via their website: Page on Ta-q-bin. Following which, they will come for pick up your parcel at your doorstep at the arranged time, they will typically deliver by the next day (all days are working days, including weekends). Sometimes, they even deliver on the same day. They charge only $6 for the smallest parcel size and subsequently in $2 increments. There's no weight-step, the maximum weight i understand is 20 kgs across all parcel sizes. As with other couriers, redeliveries are for free. Ta-Q-Bin also allows for 7-11 collections. As an alternative to door-to-door pick up, you may deposit your parcel at any 7-11 store for Ta-Q-Bin to pick up (and they give you a dollar off charges). Should you exceed $500 shipping charges a month, you may even register for a corporate account with them and get to print your own shipping labels for use with Ta-Q-Bin. Although there were some who have complained about inconsistent service from them, this was never my experience. Nevertheless, I will note that Ta-Q-Bin does not offer real-time tracking. Their tracking system via their website is rather rudimentary - essentially either delivered or undelivered. This is different from the experience one would have with DHL or Fedex with their electronic tracking system which provides real-time whereabouts of the parcel. The next reliable alternative I'd say is the SingPost Speedpost. The cheapest non-CBD to non-CBD delivery would be $14 however. Intra-CBD rates start at $7. I would highly recommend Ta-Q-Bin to anyone, especially ecommerce sites that require high volume shipping. What is the cheapest way to send a parcel from India to any other country?

India Post is the cheapest service available in India. I wanted to send my admission documents to my university in Germany. I came to know about three possible ways:-Ordinary Post:- It's cost was just Rs. 40/-. However it is unreliable. You can not track your shipment. There is no guarantee that it would be delivered. However in almost 95% cases, shipments are delivered. It may take about 15 days.Registered Post:- This is the perfect solution. It's cost was just Rs. 114/- for the same parcel. It is reliable and you can track your shipment. It takes same amount of time as an ordinary post. Speed Post:- It is too much costly. It's cost was Rs. 940/- for the same parcel. Use this service only if you are in too much hurry. In takes about 7-8 days to deliver shipment. PS: Private courier companies like BlueDart, DHL, FedEX are too much costly. They were charging Rs. 2000/- for the same shipment.

How much do professional couriers charge for parcels around 4 kg to be delivered through a distance of 700 km?

Actually not in this way. They are charging depending on the location and not by the distance. Delivery charge of the parcel is based on the destination and Kilometer or Mile isn't a matter. For example,If you are living in Madurai, Tamil Nadu and you need to send a parcel to Chennai, Tamil Nadu , They will charge you based on the weight of the Dox(Parcel). Basic charge INR 45 for the weight of up to 500 Grams Parcel. For every additional 500 Grams you have to pay additional INR 40 more.If your product is about 4KG, They will charge you Rs. 325.Kerala and Karnataka - 500 Grams cost INR 55 and for every additional 500 Grams you have to pay extra INR 45.Andhra and Telagana - 500 Grams cost INR 65 and every additional 500 Grams will cost you extra INR 55.Local Area, Rural Area - Basic is INR 30 and Urban Area - basic is INR 25. Additional cost is based on the weight. This is Surface Transit. For Air transits they will cost you higher than Surface transit.Example, Tamil Nadu to Andaman costs INR 125 and additional 500 Grams cost extra INR 75.And also they have a new system called Pro-Premium which costs extra and has some features. What do you think now? Is the charge slightly high?

What are the different ways of sending a parcel from India to other countries using India Post? What are the rates and estimated delivery times?

For Parcels, India Post has mainly two services : EMS Speed Post & Registered Parcel by Air / SAL mail. EMS is available for 99 countries among which Merchandise can be sent to 73 countries. Rates for EMS differs country to country. If your destination is Asia Pacific / Gulf, surely you will get quite competitive rates. Delivery time is generally 5 to 8 working days. In some countries final delivery may be delayed due to higher time taken by their Customs for clearance. Time taken by destination Customs is not considered by India Post while calculating delivery within guaranteed delivery time span.Registered Parcel is also a good choice where you can get considerably cheap services. Though delivery timings are specifically guaranteed by India Post, generally it gets delivered within 8 to 25 working days depending on country of destination and efficiency of destination postal administration. Registered Parcel is available with two option i.e. Air & SAL (limited countries availability) but Air & SAL rates do not differ much so Air will be easy and affordable choice.

Which is the cheapest and most reliable way to ship household stuff from India to Singapore?

Depends on the size of 'stuff'. Cheapest is Singpost.  You need to pack the items really well.  Limit is 20 KG.  Cost is around SGD 130.  One option is they pickup from your house/office.Big stuff requires movers.  There are many shady movers.  There are some good local/Singaporean movers.  There are some high end movers.  Moving will be expensive.  1 cubic meter can cost upwards of $1000.  The benefit is that it may be more reliable than Singpost. If you send by Singpost, make sure the items inside are packed in multiple layers of plastic/cloth.  Try to pack it so it doesn't move, i.e., add some bubble wrap type packing material.  It's worth insuring if the price of the items is less than insurance.
