What is a polite way to address someone in an email, whose gender you don't know?
As someone who is often accidentally addressed as Mr. Narayan, here is what I expect from someone who doesn't know my genderDo a search on the name and see what gender seems to show up.If the gender is still ambiguous, just address the emails with a "Dear FirstName LastName", and use the full name to refer to someone in the body of the letter.Update: For a more casual tone, I second Benjamin Golub's suggestion to just start with a Hello or the body of the email. I've frequently used the former approach myself, though not specific to when I didn't know the gender.

Security clearance and collections debt?
Hi, I recently started my job in January and have gone through the process etc. I filled out my clearance forms back in march and barely got my interview this week. So, I'm really really nervous. I don't want to lose my job. :( I was completely honest about everything but I do have 3 collection accounts. Two medical bills (one I didn't even know about until he brought it up) and one for Amazon store card I got 7 years ago in college. I was young and dumb. The medical bills are both under 500 and the Amazon is 2511. The status says closed on Amazon and one medical bill. I do intend to pay all these, I just moved and got married and wanna focus on paying all these things off first as well as current credit cards. Which I'm almost done with. Am I going to get denied??? I'm stressing so bad. I don't have any criminal background whatsoever either
Email has been working fine, now receiving this error (#MBR1212) Incorrect username or password?
Suddenly I stopped receiving email. Have a Yahoo! business account. I cannot access mail on my iPhone or my Mac. When I try, it says I do not have the correct username or password. But nothing has changed. My business partner, who has the same setup, is still receiving email with no problems. This is the error I receive when I try to access email on Outlook: "[AUTH] (#MBR1212) Incorrect username or password.." On my phone it just says incorrect username or password. No settings have been changed at all. It's been about 5 hours since I last received or was able to send an email, so it's affecting both incoming and outgoing mail. I've tried re-entering my password, but it still says it's incorrect. I had my partner go into the setup just to double check, but the password is still the same. Thanks in advance for your help!
