Holding Onto Clothing For When You Lose Weight- A Good Or Bad Idea

Should I wait to lose weight before I buy new clothes?

I'm 21, not too fat, not skinny, but I think I've gained weight in the past school year (I live in the dorms). Now that summer's approaching, I'm going to return to the gym on a more regular basis to lose that weight. There is a dress, however, that I've had my eye on for awhile now. Should I lose weight before I buy it (or any other clothes)?

Pros and Cons of Throwing up to lose weight?

Pros: None

Cons: You're loosing the nutrients your body needs meaning you face organ failure if it gets too far, which means hospitalization.
You're bringing up not only food and liquid, but stomach acid. That rots your teeth, leaves you with bad breath and damages your esophagus.
You're body may go into starvation mode, meaning it'll hold onto any fat your body has. Eventually, once it gets to extreme, your body will eat itself to survive. That plus the loss of nutrients and body fat will cause organ failure (which, by the way, can be extremely painful).
Eating disorders can be hard to beat. It gets addicting either stuffing your face or throwing up. But if you seek the proper help NOW, you can not only stop purging but learn how to loose weight in a healthy fashion and feel 100x better about yourself.

Stop purging. It's never a good idea, it's bad for your health and you're asking for serious trouble if you keep this up. Just change your diet and exercise. You'll loose the weight steadily while being healthy.

I'm losing weight. Why do I feel like I'm gaining weight?

There is just not enough information in the question to begin to try to answer it. Like, by feel, do you mean you “feel” fatter emotionally? Do you feel fatter when you touch your body? Do you look fatter? Do other people say you’ve gained weight? Are you stretching your clothes? Are you feeling bigger in certain places? All places? How much weight have you lost? Did you just start this journey? What are you doing to lose weight?Basically, without that information it’s hard to say much of anything but here’s the most basic of answers. You are losing weight but you’re doing a lot of resistance training and your body is firming up as you take off fat and put on some muscle. If this is the case, your weight loss will feel very slow. You are losing fat but holding onto water and there is bloat. You’re doing all cardio or exercising with bad form and your posture is suffering. You’re taking supplements or eating “diet’ foods that are causing damage to your body and your organs are swelling or causing muscles around them to relax and hang.Or you have a lot of emotional issues wrapped up in your weight and you’re not seeing things as they are. In this case, you should probably go talk to someone. If you can give more information I can try to answer a little better. Feel free to follow me.

Will fasting make me lose weight ?

Fasting one day a month can be extremely beneficial to your body as it cleanses and has actually been said to make you live longer.

Short answer, if you don't eat, yes you will loose weight, anyone is stupid to dispute that.

The problem is when you resume eating, your metabolismm will slow as it thinks there is no food entering the body, thus holding onto it.

Hope i helped, thanks

Can you lose weight from eating only saltine crackers and drinking water??

no! thts stupid...no offence
ull just gain more weight then starve ur self to death if thts wat u want
eat healthy foods and excerrsize!easy fun and HEALTHY!

Will I lose weight if I stop eating for 3 days..?

Not only will you not lose weight permanently, you run the risk of resetting your metabolism so that, even if you eat normally & don't overeat as a result of starving yourself, you will gain weight. Your metabolism will go into starvation mode & hold onto every calorie it can.

You also run the risk of eating into your muscle mass. Your weight might be lower, but you'll lose some of what helps you burn calories.

Restricting your water intake is a very bad idea, especially if you do stop eating. Any weight loss from that will be pure water weight & will come back just as soon as you drink. In the meanwhile, you'll be letting toxins build up in your system. It's also possible to interpret thirst as hunger; that is, your body needs liquids, but you feel hungry instead of thirsty.

There are no "magic" ways to lose weight fast if you don't want to gain it all back (and usually more with it.) Instead, excercise more and take in fewer calories. You should not lose more than about 1 kg. per week. If you do this by changing the way you eat and excercise, you will be able to maintain your weight loss. The idea is to make small changes that add up to a healthy lifestyle.

If i am anorexia how much weight will i lose in 2 weeks?

I'm guessing this is a hypothetical question since if you were anorexic, you would already know the answer. As most of the people have commented, it is a disease, not a diet, & is very dangerous.
*** I would like to point out to "SEXIIMAM"
1. It is NOT spelled "anerexic" It is a condition known as "anorexia nervosa" & when someone has this condition they are called "ANOREXIC"
2. It's quite possible that English is not this person's first language. If so, he's doing pretty well to be able to get his point across as well or better than many natural born Americans can.
3. "YOUR" refers to something that belongs to the person being spoken to. What you MEANT to type was "You're" which is a contraction of the two words, "You" and "Are."
4. I believe you also meant to say "For" in place of "fo."

What were you saying about someone being "dumb?"
*** "The only "dumb" question is an unasked question."
