What do guys wear to homecoming?
Always best to err on the formal side. If you're going somewhere more casual a pair of khakis ( higher waist no pleats and a comfortable leg with a crease) a button down and a more casual tie like a knit or seasonal fabrics such as wool or cotton. For shoes I'd go with a dark brown slip on loafer. Matching socks should be given. Finally either a sweater or a blazer, not a suit jacket because that looks like you spilt something on your pants and grabbed the closest thing before leaving. If it's more formal a dark suit with dark shoes preferably a lace up with a matching belt and watch. In this case a muted shirt in either stripes or a light colored dress shirt. Just my 2 cents though!

i have a date to homecoming, and i have 2 questions, what do guys wear, a suit,tux?what? and another, we know were goin together and all but i really wanna make it special i want to find a really cool way to ask her to it,, it has to be reallllllyyy good, not take her to dinner, or movies, but something like draw on the road in chalk " will you go to homcoming with me" something like that.

I wore this my senior year in high school.Looks formal but in the deep South, we tend to be.My BFF, myself and 10 other girls were selected for Homecoming Court by the football team and had to wear hats and gloves.Dad (right) was my escort for the court.

Ok, start with the skinny pants, then add a dress shirt with rolled up sleeves (any color you want), a sweater vest (I'd say black), a tie (you could do the same color family as the shirt or just keep it black and skinny), and some nice looking sneakers like black vans or converse. No mud or writing on them if you're going for the 'somewhat formal' look. I'd top it off with a hat of some kind. Homecoming is Tomorrow, and I have no idea what to wear. I'm not sure if I want to wear a suit, or just dress pants and a nice collored shirt and blue tie. My dates wearing a navy blue dress. I don't even have a nice suit, I have a grey, dark grey, and charcoal brown suit, my budget is around $100-$150. Should I go with a suit, or not? What should wear? All black and a blue tie?

Semi-formal generally means NO need for a tux or dinner jacket. Would think a pair of dress slacks, colored dress shirt, tie and sports jacket. Leaves you with the options of making the tie disappear afterwords and a jacket to put on the shoulders of your date to keep her warm.
