Honda Civic 2012 Wont Start Engine

2012 CBR250r wont start?

I was riding today, and I looked and saw that my gauges stopped working, and as I continued, my check engine light came on, and when I pulled over it died, when I turned the key to the off position, then to the on, the gauges came on, and my lights and also the fuel injector came on, when I hit the start button, all that happens are a bunch of little tiny clicks. Any reason why?

1997 Honda Accord wont start in cold weather?

the engine needs more fuel to start when it is cold and it needs more air to raise the idle up when the additional fuel is added in.

the only way the control unit for the fuel injection 'knows' to add more fuel is when it gets a signal from the coolant temperature switch that the engine is 'cold'. that's one item you don't have on your list above. It is a real possibility that the hard start is caused by a bad electronic coolant temp sensor.

If the sensor is good, then the other side is the idle air control valve. that valve is basically a motor that moves a plunger in and out of an idle bypass port on the throttle body to regulate the idle speed. the port should be fully open when cold. if the passage is restricted by carbon (very likely) you'll starve the engine for air and cause the stalling. if the passage is clear and the motor is bad the same thing will happen. However, when the IACV or the passage is the problem the engine will normally go up and down in idle speed when the car is warm. if you have a normal idle when warm then the problem is most likely the signal for cold start enrichment that is commanded by the coolant temp sensor isn't getting to the control unit so you're not getting the additional fuel you need to start and keep the engine running.

hope that helps

My honda sh125 wont start,?

First, the only way to make sure your battery's ok is to have it charged and load tested. If the battery is 4 years old or more, you need a new one. With a known good battery that measures 12.6 Volts, if you still hear the click, suspect a bad starter solenoid. The contacts may be burned. Try replacing the solenoid once your sure the battery can crank the starter motor. Of course your battery cable connections to the solenoid and motor must be good. NEVER replace the starter motor automatically because you hear a click and the starter motor doesn't run. Most of the time it's a bad battery, battery connection, bad starter solenoid etc that have ALL got to be good before you condemn the starter motor!

I left my cars AC on (not engine) all night and now my car won't start, what's wrong?

Here’s what I know:AC stands for Air Conditioning (duh).Leaving the AC switch “on” does nothing at all if your engine is not running. The AC cools the air coming in thru the ventilation system by running it past a heat exchanger that has in turn been cooled by a compressed working fluid (refrigerant). That compressor is the important bit because it is a mechanical device that is run by a drive belt connected to the engine. If the engine is off, the drive belt doesn’t move, and the AC compressor doesn’t compress.Did you leave the keys in and the ventilation fan on? The fan is electric, and if you left the keys in the ignition in the ACC or ON position then yes, you could easily drain the battery over a period of several hours.

I drove through flooded water and my car won't start. The engine will turn but won't fully crank. Help!!!?

sounds like its an electrical problem.. if you take out all the spark plugs and it still wont crank it either an electrical problem that i dont really know much about thats next semester or the water caused the rings and pistons to rust to the cylinder walls. try taking out the spark plugs and loading the pistons up with some kind of rust catalyst like pb blaster.

and you can accidently drive through flood water. at night or if there is a sudden dip in the road where the water collects.

What is the function of anti-theft in a Honda Civic and do I turn it off?

The anti-theft is collectively referred to bunch of security features which include things likeEngine immobilizerRFID keysSince 2003 Honda has included a chip in Key fob and an equivalent chip in the car. The encoded signal from Key fob has to be “readable” by the chip in the car. This is like me telling you “code world is WATER”. ONLY you will know what that means and only YOU will know what actions to carry if I told you the code WATER or ICE or FIRE.In our case, the car, if it understands the code sent by RFID chip in key fob, will carry out an action of “letting the engine start”. If I just physically duplicated your key and the key doesn’t have the RFID chip signal that matches original key, your engine will be “immobilized”. That’s just fancy of “your engine wont start”.This way it prevents car theft. Most cars that are stolen where the thief just “rode off” are because the keys are left in the car by driver by mistake. That is another reason why “key-less ignition” enhances the security. You no longer need to remove the key from your pocket/purse and therefore the chances of you leaving the key in car reduces drastically (unless you left your whole jean or the purse in the car itself.. lol). Can you turn this off? I don’t think so. There might not be a “button” or key movement combination that you can use to turn this off. You see, the car does not know that “you” are a thief or the owner. It doesn’t have brains. So if anything, at least you need a dealership to access that part of car’s firmware code which makes the car realized that an “authorized person” is trying to disable this. Now if you are talking about “slicing some wires and ripping anti theft system out of vehicle” kind of “turn-off”, I don’t really see what would one want to do that :)

Why won't my Hybrid start?

I have a 2008 Nissan Altima Hybrid and it will not go in the ready position. We thought the battery was the issue, but we have a whole new battery. Then we thought it was the brake switch so we replaced it, but it won't go in the ready position. The car will turn on but it won't go in ready position so I can drive it. It keeps saying depress the brake. I keep pushing down the brakes and pressing on. The car comes on but it won't go in ready position. Help me please!
