H&K vs Glock, A honest try to end it !?

The H&K without question.

First off, the USP can be had in single/double action (as well as double-action only, sadly) which allows for a manual safety lever and the ability to carry '******-and-locked'. This is a huge advantage IMO.

DAO became all the rage in the 1980s mainly due to Lawyers and fear of lawsuits. I don't know what you like, but I like my gun designed by and engineer not a lawyer.

The Glock "three-safety" myth is perposterous, it's only half a safety, that is it prevents drop-fires but does nothing against someone putting their finger on the trigger.

To fully understand what this means, hand an UNLOADED pistol to someone not familiar with firearms. The first thing they do is put their finger on the trigger, which on a Glock defeats every so-called "safety". I rest my case.

Next, the HK has a comfortable grip angle and shoots balanced and can easily be shot one handed. This is more likely personal preference, but you asked opinions. Pulling the Glock trigger is like pulling the trigger on my staple gun.

The HK employs a mechanical recoil buffer system that is very innovative and effective that leads to better practical accuracy.

Asthetically, the HK wins hands down. It's a pretty pistol, compared to that ugly slab of dull grey metal.

The Glock has a wonderful reputation for reliability, but most of that comes from their Marketing Dept. Both are very, very reliable and the HK wins on quality and fit.

So, you mentioned that glock sells more guns. Well, the Toyota Camry sells a lot more than the BMW 5-series, but the BMW is clearly a superior automobile in all counts. Just like the USP is a superior pistol.....

What did you score on 4chan social-abilities test (link in the description)?

Q: What did you score on 4chan social-abilities test (link in the description)?83You have several qualities of a robot but participate largely in the normalfag world. You probably even hang out with normals, although they can sense you are not one of them so you struggle socially.Total understatement. ;)I don’t actually participate much in the normalfag world (though not because I am an actualfag), because I couldn’t care less for its reality, though I like many of the high-minded ideals. I don’t even hang out with normals in meatspace anymore, becoming more and more of a hermit, and socializing with other mainstream misfits online. I would probably socially struggle in parts of mainstream society today if I had to interact there for more than a day, because I just couldn’t be bothered; but while I was working for “the man” I had no trouble — not being autistic is a definite advantage because I could easily pull on protective colouration so they couldn’t sense just how weird I was underneath. I am a survivor, after all; fitting in is a lucky matter of choice.I am clearly categorized as only slightly strange because I have a functional romantic life. Also, I have no addictions, but I have quite unsociable reasons for that. I feel distinctly outside of normal society in most ways that count for me (and that would count for people who thrive within it, if they were aware of them). Even my participation in social networks is quite different from the average person’s Twitter/Facebook/Instagram profile; I am pretty much guaranteed to prefer social networks doomed to die a slow, drift-away death without ever becoming popular (sorry, Orkut), or that only hardcore geeks still acknowledge (hello, Usenet). This bit of text is hilarious: The curse of autism eternal and spaghetti all-powerful has consumed your life and soul — oh, to be a Grand Wizard!

Why do answers have a 5 star rating system?

The stars system tells you at a glance how much the answer helped the asker. Unfortunately, not everyone knows how to use it correctly. I once got a best answer rated with two stars, and there was a comment added below by the asker that it should have been five stars, but she didn't know how to select it. Anyhow, it's very useful when you take into consideration the number of people who leave just one letter for their comment.

The stats on users' Q&A pages does sound interesting. Maybe you should bring it up in the Y!A forum to discuss it more. Check out the link in the upper right of this page.

What does "rated 5.5 PG III using the YDS rating and includes 11 pitches" mean?

I'm curious because a few years ago someone asked me, "Would you like to go on a hike with us? We're climbing up to the top of Mount ___ ." Thinking that it was probably one of those 7 mile roundtrip hikes that actually has a trail, I said, "Sure." I brought my brand new pants and cell phone, not knowing both would be trashed from hiking.

When we got there, the trail ended after less than a mile. On the hike, it was steep enough that half of the time you had to use your hands going up, and sliding on your butt going down. It just didn't seem like your typical hike. Towards the beginning of the hike, the group leader said, "Okay, start climbing here." Then one of the guys started climbing, but lost his grip, fell and hit one guy who was unable to catch him, then the second guy caught him. Then the group leader said, "Okay, to make it easier, let's go along this way instead. There were rocks quite often flying down in my direction. After the hike, one of the two leaders said, "I think it may have been better if we brought ropes!" I was so exhausted afterwards.

A few years later, I emailed the group leader asking what route we took getting to that mountain peak, because we didn't take the trail everyone else takes. Online for the name of the route he gave me, it says, "The route is rated 5.5 PG III using the YDS rating and includes 11 pitches." I'm confused what that means? As far as hiking?

Thanks!

Squier Stratocaster vs Epiphone SG?

I'd skip both of these and buy a used Epiphone SG-400 which you should be able to get for less than $200. I'd never buy a player pack (starter set) at all. The amps are pretty much worthless. Instead, go to a local guitar shop (not GC) and check out some used guitars and amps. You'll get better quality instruments used than the new counterparts.

The Epi SG-400 is VERY highly rated. See for yourself at the link below, and while you're there, read about the SG Special.

If I HAD to choose though between your options, I'd go with the SG over the Squier Strat. I have an Epi LP special that I bought used for $60 and after I put a new neck on it, it's a hot guitar!

Good luck!

Buying Epson Printer Ink at CCS-Digital.com?

I'm a long time customer and a friend of the owner. We live a few miles apart and became friends through our tech interests. I'm the one who keeps posting the link because I think it's the greatest deal ever - 11 free ink cartridges every month - http://www.ccs-digital.com/freeink.asp

But rather than take my word for it, go to their testimonial page
http://ccs-digital.com/accolades.html
and read what their customers have said and their rating on google checkout and their reputation on ebay. It's a family-run business, has operated for over 20 years as a consulting and computer sales firm and they back up their products with a full money back guarantee, including the shipping.

What is the best investment stradergy?

You should invest in stocks, bonds, and money market funds. You want to buy a diversified portfolio of stocks, as individual stocks are too risky. For most folks this means buying mutual funds. I like Vanguard.com, other people like Fidelity, TIAA-CREF, and DFA. Buy no-load, low cost funds. If you are like most people you will invest part of your money aggressively in stock funds, and part conservatively in money market funds and bond funds. Vanguard.com has an on-line questionnaire which will give you an idea how aggressive you want to be.

If your company offers a 401K plan at work, try to invest the most you can. The money grows tax free, and some companies will match your contribution. Investing in a mutual fund IRA is also a good idea.

I like index funds. Because of their broad diversification, you are less likely to have a dramatic drop in value. They also have the lowest expenses. For stock funds, I would suggest putting ~70-80% of your money in the Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund. and ~20-30% in a foreign stock index fund. However, there are many different opinions out there on what the best mutual funds are. Read the links below and form your own opinion.

If you have high-interest debt, like credit cards, it is best to pay this off first before trying most of the investment ideas above. You should also have 3-6 months of salary saved up as an emergency fund in a bank or money market fund before trying more risky investments.

Believing advice you get on Yahoo answers can be risky, so read these websites for further information. If you find it too confusing, contact a professional financial advisor. They will charge you significant commissions, however.
