Question about my hooters interview?
okay so i went into hooters for an interview with the general manager, he sent me to the assistant manager, then she sent me back to the general manager. He told me that the AM was supposed to tell me if I got the job or not because he wanted her to start gaining experience in that area and that he was sorry for having me come back three days in a row. He also said that the AM liked me and was gonna call me with the news. I waited a couple days and decided to call back the AM and see whats going on. She told me that she couldnt hire me because she was overstaffed and to try again in a month. Do you think she was lying and should I try again in a month (for a third time, the first time i blew the interview and this time it seemed like I got way further)

Bad advice. I would *never* tell a dirty joke at a job interview. Hooters promotes themselves as a wholesome place where you can bring your whole family. A dirty joke might get some laughs, but it could also make them think you're not the kind of "girl next door" they like to promote their waitresses as. Find a joke that you could tell your mother or your grandmother. Make it something short, they're not interested in a 10-minute joke. And try to make it something they haven't heard before. A little boy was taking a bath. His mother came in to help him shampoo his hair. While she was shampooing, the little boy looked down between his legs and then asked curiously "Mommy, is that my brain?" The mother looked down too, then said "Not yet son, but it will be in a few years."
What should I wear to a Hooters interview?
ok so I finally made up my mind and decided to become a Hooters girl. Only thing is, I'm so use to interviewing at not-so-laid-back jobs. What should I wear? Would nice jeans and a cute shirt with Vans be ok? Or maybe not-so-dressed-up but still nice looking slacks and blouse? I really need this job because my other job is pissing me off to where I don't want to go back. Please help. Also, how can I be bubbly and an American-Cheerleader type girl? I see that's what they want in their Hooter Girls. I can fake it but it almost looks too fake. PS Don't give me BS answers because I WILL hunt you down and destroy you! Thanks!
What should I wear to a Hooters Girl interview?
DON'T dress like a hooters girl. Dress in something comfortable and stylish that you feel great in. The upbeat fun environment of hooters is what they want to see if you fit into. If you are dressed in anything that makes you feel self-conscious then it will affect your ability to put forth the real you. Here's a few do's and don'ts that I would suggest. Also, hair and makeup done up as if you were going on a hot date and not to a regular job interview. If you have any tattoos make sure you are wearing something that covers them.Black skirt DO ^^^^^Black skirt DO NOT ^^^^^^^DON'T DRESS LIKE YOU MIGHT LEAVE THE JOB TOMORROW IF SOMETHING BETTER COMES ALONG.This is a catch 22 a lot of people don't realize. If you look like you are headed for the corporate ladder and not to refill table 8’s drinks, you might not be hired. I was told many times that I was not what they are looking for because no one wants to train a new employee just to have them accept a new job in a week. So don't over-do it.This is the perfect outfit for the job. In my opinion.Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Hooters interview advice please?
Hi, I applied at Hooters last month and the manager spoke to me and said they'd give me a call a week or two after the Superbowl because they weren't really wanting to hire right before the Superbowl. My guess is so they don't have to train any new people while it's so busy and so they know who actually wants the job and who wants to get the beaucoup tips during the playoffs/Superbowl and then quit. SO, I'm going in on Thursday to check in and show that I really do want the job. I'm going to wear a pencil skirt that falls just above the knee and a fitted shirt that shows just the RIGHT amount of cleavage (just a smidge more than any other job I'd go for) with a pair of 2" heels. I'm 5'5", 120-125 pounds, and wear a size 34 DD. I have a great personality (if I do say so myself lol) and am very outgoing and genuinely happy =] I'm a 19 year old student and volunteer with Hospice (they work around my schedule though, so this won't be an issue). Now for my questions lol: -Does my outfit sound like a good idea? -I don't weigh too much for them...right? Now for girls who work there or have worked there: -What kind of questions should I expect to be asked if they interview me? -What answers did you give?? Lol -What did you wear? -What was your best experience working there? -Your worst? -Do you regret working there or did/do you love it? -What happens after I get interviewed? Is there another interview? ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT!!!! -Shelby Oh, and for those who wonder, my friends, family, and fiance 100% back me up on working there. Hell, my grandpa brags to all of his buddies that his granddaughter might be a Hooters Girl! My parents really hope I get the job, and so does my fiance =]
