What do you think about horoscopes?
I think there just for fun. But on the serious side, No one person is the same, I'm a Virgo, but do not have the same trates of other Virgo's, I may have some, but not all.
Horoscopes: What do you think of death?
I have a very detached but strong interest in death.....8th house is in Aquarius with ruling Uranus in close orb conjunction with the ascendant. In my career and personal life, I have witnessed many deaths and close encounters with death. I am not afraid to talk about death with others if they are comfortable with the subject matter, and I think we often don't realize what a peaceful and transcending experience death can be when it is our time to go. Accidental, violent or premature deaths are not peaceful, and a different way of processing death is necessary. Western astrology often does a poor job of examining death, especially in comparison to Vedic astrology....almost like it is a taboo subject. I am not afraid of death, but I still have purpose in life, so I am not quite ready to leave this earthly existence. What I think will happen to me after this life is that my soul will go into a period of sleep for a couple of hundred years, although time being meaningless in the hereafter; and if I can continue to behave myself here, I will move to a higher plane / place of existence. If I falter with the rest of this life, I will be destined to repeat the lessons that have been presented to me here. I believe that this earthly existence is the lowest rung of the ladder.....for all of us. Sag / Libra / Cancer empty 8th house 8th in Aquarius Pluto in Leo in the 2nd Currently, my brother-in-law is facing a life / death situation - emergency cardiac surgery. He is represented by the 6th house in my chart. He is Capricorn and Pluto is transiting my 6th house. I'm praying as I type this answer.

Well all hire scopes are generalized. Most who take them seriously are children and junior high, high school age- the time when our personalities are still forming. So they do influence greatly o believe the young people who read them, having a strong psychological affect of which impulses of who they are to decide to develop. For example some young people might be completely confused about wether they are introverted and extroverted and reading their horresocope may manipulate or influence them into deciding to have one characteristic over another. By the time they are adults they don't remember how they chose the personality thru did.So yes, people under the same horresocope can seem to have the same characteristics. But remember these are tendencies- you can choose to be anyone you want to be and to develop any characteristics you choose. Potential is limitless and horresocope a shoe them all under different signs.

I don't want to believe in horoscopes and all that silliness, but why are they almost always correct and on point?

You will get married to a great girl who will bring laurels and lots of money into your life". A lot can be said vaguely about a person by just looking at him and talking to him for a few minutes. This is what most astrologers in the name of telling you about you. Typically same script for almost everyone. I've never met an astrologer who has called me out on my bullshit. Astrology is humbug. Look at the apparent "personality traits" of all the star signs (Aries, Pisces, Libra, Virgo and what not). If you look at just the personality traits without seeing the name, you will find that some of the traits in almost all of the signs match with what you feel are your traits. You will have a "That sounds like me!" feel to most of it. The people who write the horoscopes make it as vague as possible without divulging too much detail (because they would be found out on it if they do!) Prediction of good and bad things to happen to people is a mere guess. All of us have good and bad things happening to us in regular intervals. To what extent should I believe in horoscope matching before choosing my life partner?
If you love someone and that someone loves you back then you don't need to check your horoscope. To be honest, fuck the astrologers,stars, kundli and all the bullshit. Hold your partner's hand and show a middle finger to the stars. If you believe in horoscope, just remember one thing, what is bound to happen will happen. No matter how many mahapooja's or rituals you perform, you ain't changing shit. In terms of relationship, if any X person is going to be life partner, then he will be your partner. No matter, if you two have been together or not. I firmly believe in fate, but I do not believe the man made elements which say that fate or kismet can be turned around or can be made any better. You cannot predict your future and you don't even have to predict it. Let it be a surprise. It's more fun that way. I will tell you own quote..as a mining engineer we deal with the term "density" frequently. And this single digit, two decimal number can change the P&L sheet of a mining company. I once quoted in a meeting, dear sir, " Density and Destiny can never be accurately predicted ". There was a huge round of laughter. :D :D
Is there any actual proof that Horoscopes are real?
As in predicting future? No, that’s nonsense! Things they predicted to you, can happen to anyone of us. They can happen any day. But when I tell you such things, you start to focus on every daily regular event. So it seems real. If anyone could predict future, they wouldn’t see their job as a writer for “Horoscopes” section and just go with it. They should’ve changed their future before telling others what will come. In terms of personalities and compatibility, can be true to some extent. With taking into consideration individuality of each person. At least this aspect of Astrology can be studied through observations.
Is it a sin to read your horoscope if you don't actually believe in it? Is it still witchcraft then?
Everyone likes to read them for the fun or it. Im a Leo and GF is a Virgo and loves to read them once in awhile.
