check the Ca, they are balanced
check the H, there are 2 on left side and 4 on right side so you must put a "2" in front of H2O to balance the H
check O, because of the 2 you put in front of H2O, there are 2 Os on the left side and 2 on the right side, so they are balanced

the final balanced equation should look like:
Ca + 2H2O ~~> Ca(OH)2 + H2

it is important to never forget the parenthesis. Ca(OH)2 is completely different from CaOH2.
