How Are New Anime Seasons Greenlit

Why do they take a long time to make a new anime season?

First of all making one episode costs a ton of money it also takes a lot time for one episode to be made. Now just imagine spending at least a 1000 Dollars or so for one episode no imagine how much you would need for all of the things and everyone needed for one episode would cost which would be a lot try to imagine 1 whole season with 26 or double the amount of episodes you never know how long a season will be until its released. Those who make anime sometimes make manga to go with it if the manga or anime is behind one then they would at least try to catch up to the other. For example if the manga is falling behind the anime and they completed the anime they would sometimes focuse their attention on the manga only and get the manga caught up to the anime. If the anime is falling behind the manga then they would try to get the anime caught up to the manga. After everything is caught up raising more funds for another season would take time it would be difficult to make a new season or a new anime it would take a considerable amount of time. I actually wanted to be able to make anime or manga so i decided to do a bit of research and foun out how difficult it is just to make one episode but i know i dont have the talent for making anime and manga i know my strength and weaknesses better then anyone else.

What the hell does"Green Lit" mean?

Ok, ok, first of all I DID LOOK UP THE DEFINITION!
But when I hear a TV SHOW is "Green lit" the definitions don't make sense with it!
I'm not asking about the cop term "Green lit".
I'm just very confused...
What exactly does it mean if a Show's Green Lit?
Ex: "The Jerry Spring Season 10 is Green lit."
(Yes I know it's a bad example I just picked a show off the top of my mind,ok? XD)

Is Sword Art Online going to have a 4 season?

It’s sorta going to have a 4th season under current planning; the currently airing 3rd ‘season’ is going to be the length of two seasons (with at total of around 48 episodes), and will probably have a break in the middle, effectively splitting it into two seasons.Even after that, it’s likely to receive a true 4th season even after that. Another arc, called Unital Ring, begins after Alicization. So long as SAO continues to print money, a 4th season to cover the final arc will probably be greenlit. It might be a bit of a wait, though; the light novels for the arc have basically just started.

Will be there a Season 3? Strike Witches?

Yes there will be a season 3 of "Strike Witches". It has been revealed on a blog by Kazuhiro Takamura, director for the series, that a "New Project" for the series will be released sometime in 2014. It was previously announced in October that a new season along with an OVA, tentatively titled "Operation Victory Arrow (O.V.A), were green-lit however no airing dates were given. The "New Project" reveal doesn't specify if whether the new season or the OVA is what will be coming this year.

Edit: Well it has already been green-lit that there will be a new season along with an OVA, but the air date is just unknown. It never said that it would be this year. It could be next year, who knows.

Attack on titan season 2 release date?

You...know? Well, there's still a high chance this Anime could get Second Season considering its first Season's popularity, BUT, there's not any confirmation about it yet

http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=69...
The only thing which has been confirmed is Shingeki no Kyojin Live Action Movie

And if you do some Googling, you'd obviously find some "SnK Season 2 not yet green-lit"

I didn't say they won't make it, but the fact that there's no official Information yet mean it'll be some more year before they make it

Aah, this is the list for all the Anime which already got (officially) green-lit for 2014

In April 2014 they'd release Shingeki no Kyojin OVA, but unfortunately (again) no Info about the Second Season

How did Ghost in the Shell get greenlit? What's the backstory of how the movie got made?

You can thank Steven Spielberg for it. Back in 2008 he expressed that the original Ghost in the Shell was one of his favourite Japanese productions. What also helped was that with three films, a significant manga and a two-season anime series, Ghost in the Shell was a more domestic-friendly Anime to adapt as the issues and subjects it discussed - particularly revolving around transhumanism - were quite cross-national subjects. The story wasn’t exclusive to Japan - you might notice that in how the city much of the story takes place in is practically never named and has been too futurised to be easily-recognisable - which made it ever so slightly easier to get away with not everyone in the cast being Japanese. it also has at-a-glance similarities to sci-fi cult classic Blade Runner.Blade Runner, Terminator, Total Recall, Hollywood has a thing about a dirty future where times are harsh and machines are on the rise.As far as Japanese productions go, adapting Ghost in the Shell was an easy sell: It has a reasonably-sized fanbase both in Japan and the United States andas said it’s not too foreign in terms of story and setting. Its international messages and cast (Section Nine is indicated to be an international team), also made it easier to sell to both China and Japan - growing cinema markets that Hollywood really wants to tap into.At some point the studios made a deal with the Shanghai Film Group and Huahua media - two big names in the Chinese film industry - perhaps as a way to get around the strict import limits China has on foreign film releases and gives the film or as a way to improve creative relations. This may have influenced the film’s final outcome in an attempt to please Chinese cinema watchdogs, but it also gave the world they were building some authenticity as the SFG is based in a city that’s become an iconic modern metropolis and a commercial paradise in the span of 25 years.DreamWorks to make ‘Ghost’ in 3-DHow Asian audiences reacted to 'Ghost In The Shell' and the 'whitewashing' rowHuahua Media | Variety

Is their going to be a no.6 season 2!!!!???*spoilers*?

I want to know too. I didn't like the whole Nezumi thing. Watching that episode made me cry. I couldn't believe I did but I did. I hope its not over. I haven't heard anything about a second season but anything is possible. They also thought the anime Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi was done with only 12 or so episodes but they greenlit it for another season so its possible. Just gotta keep an eye on it.

When will the Noblesse anime series come?

I was trying to understand the question because I believe that Noblesse is a webtoon[1] from South Korea, and there hasn’t been any anime adaptation for webtoon. Until I decided to search for it. And yes, it has anime adaptation.Noblesse had two original video animations in 2015 and 2016[2]. The one in 2015 was produced by Korean animation studio Studio Animal. It have two episodes already, in Korean. Don’t worry it has English subtitle in CC.This is the first episode. It follows a different storyline than the webtoon, but I hope this will continue since there are two episodes already. The one released in 2016 was in Japanese, titled Noblesse: The Awakening (31 mins) by Production I.G (studio of Psycho-Pass and Ghost in the Shell). It covered the first season of the webtoon series. I don’t know if it will continue though.Thank you for asking, now that I know that one of my favorite webtoon had anime version I’m gonna watch it!Footnotes[1] Webtoon - Wikipedia[2] Noblesse (manhwa) - Wikipedia
