My crush has bad teeth!?!?

So, I've had a crush on this guy for months. My friend told him that I had a crush on him and after a month and a half of him playing hard to get, I found out that he likes me too. Today, we actually had a conversation for the first time in the 7 months I've been drooling over him and I noticed that he has bad teeth. I don't know his exact age yet, but he is in my age bracket (early-mid 20s) and since I take care of my teeth, I would expect the men I date to do the same.

Regardless, I still really like him because he's such a cute guy and he is so sweet. I don't know if I can get over the teeth situation.

I know some people have bad teeth for various reasons (health reasons, poor hygiene, etc.), but since I like him so much do you guys think I should just overlook this? Has anyone else ever been in a similar situation? I need advice! Thanks :)

Can a dentist have bad teeth?

Yes, dentists are also human beings that eat what non dentists eat. Therefore, not all dentists have an ideal set of dentition but they can have an ideal dentition if they wanted to.During my dentistry days before I entered the college it was required for any dental students to have atleast good oral hygiene and good set of dentition. I had a malocclussion protuding upper incisor and a deep bite. I was required to wear braces. The college wants any dental students to become a good role model when it comes to oral cavity. All decayed irreversible teeth are being extracted and those decayed reversible tooth ate being restored and biannual oral prophylaxis. In your case if the department does not require you to fix your teeth problem, it is your prerogative to have them fixed or treated. This will eliminate your inferiority complex or embarrassing moment once you are already a dentist. Atleast, if your teeth are done ideally, your patients will admire you for having a good set of dentition and a good oral hygiene. Thanks for A2A

Is it bad to get the teeth cleaned by the dentist?

the process of cleaning of teeth is known as scaling. in that a dentist uses a vibarting tip to remove the debris and calculus, which can not be removed by brushing.and the gums bleeds because , the deposits on your teeth makes your gums swollen, and its a symptom of an unhealthy gums that they bleed.gaps, the space which is occupied by the deposits and calculus get cleared by scaling, which make you feel gaps between the teeth, but it got filled by the healthy tissue within few days after scaling.and all this procedure will make your gum teeth grip more stronger as the bad thing between the bond of teeth and gums got removed.it is advisable to get your teeth check every six months, to have a perfect smile. and you know that a perfect smile can make someones day better.

Will having bad teeth kill me faster?

i agree with Robert Wolverton because dental health, oral health and physical health are interconnected. In case you do not take care of your oral health, be ready to see your teeth becoming a party place for harmful bacteria. These harmful bacteria will spoil your dental personality and health also. More importantly, they will enter your body through your saliva to cause you serious cardiovascular diseases.for example:Kidney StonesInfertilityHeart AttackDementiaPregnancy problemsAnd many more. But you can prevent them with property oral and dental care routine and dietary changes. for example:Quit smoking!Don’t booze!Reduce the consumption of coffee, beer, cold drinks, sports drinks, tea and other carbonated and caffeinated beverages etc.brush twice a day and for 2 minutes each.Don’t over brush your teeth.clean your tongue, gums and jawline perfectly everyday. ‘Rinse your mouthy every time you drink or eat anything.Visit your dentist regularly and use the best sonic toothbrush he/she advises you.In case you don’t take care of your dental and oral health, now you know how bad teeth can kill you sooner than your time.Good Luck!

What does it feel like to have no teeth?

I am not quite to the comfort level of talking about this publicly. I am in my early thirties and about to have the last of my teeth removed so I can be fitted for dentures. Wow! Dentures! I have damaged, and lost my teeth mainly through poor hygiene, drug use, and fighting. I would be, by most standards, a very good looking man if not for the lack of teeth. If I am not smiling or talking, no one would ever know. So I am quiet and I don't smile much anymore.I feel like I am an old man now, just broken down, and used up. I have overcome most obstacles in my life and I am doing pretty well these days. I almost feel good about myself. Then I get up and look at that mug in the mirror. I hope that having false teeth will be some sort of improvement, at least aesthetically. In my mind though it will always be a reminder of bad decisions and wasted time.I can't eat the things I like anymore. This wasn't a big deal at first, but eventually you just want to eat a damn Dorito and feel it crunch. I think people take for granted the fact that eating with few, or no, teeth is painful. Sometimes I feel like I would give anything to chomp down on some tasty morsel with my own damn teeth. I won't lie it sucks.Barely out of my 20s and wearing dentures, and it is totally my own fault.

How much will teeth affect getting a job?

I'm trying to get a job at in n out and I've been called in for an interview. I'm not worried about the questions they have or what they'll think about my experience, because both of those look good. My only issue is regarding physical appearance and how it will affect the hiring process. I dont think Im ugly really but I feel like a few traits I have will deeply hurt my chances of getting hired. For example, I am a guy with long hair, which I worry will look unprofessional. My main concern is with my teeth, and Im worried they will affect me but I definitely judge myself more harshly than others do so Im not sure. How badly do you think my teeth will affect the interview, and what do you think I can do to help better my chances?

Why do so many people let their teeth get so bad? Do they not notice it?

A great question! For which I believe there are several answers. In my practice I have observed these possibilities. The saddest is some patients don’t like their smile because the teeth are crooked or funny looking to them. So they don’t take care of them. I suppose they are wishing them away or maybe they think why bother taking care of ugly teeth. There are those people who just don’t like themselves. Seriously. They resent themselves for what ever psycho reason you might imagine. The easy answer is lack of self discipline resulting in bad habits. That is why parents have to nag their kids to brush their teeth. This is probably the most important thing a kid learns when he is young, the importance of good habits and some self discipline. Some kids are slow to learn good habits and some never learn them. The value system of the patient. Some patients have a high dental IQ and appreciate the relevance of the oral cavity as the beginning of a healthy life. Others value things like cars or toys.Ignorance. Diet. What do you think?
