Do your arms get bigger before they get smaller?

Ive been lifting five pound weights every day and I can already feel the difference, but it kind of looks like my arms have gotten bigger. Will they get smaller once the muscles start burning off the fat?

Will pushups make my arms look bigger?

Yes, although it's not the most effective method.Your upper arm is made up of 2 muscle groups.Bicep - 2 musclesTricep - 3 muscles. If you want bigger arms you train your triceps because they account for 3/5 of your upper arm.Ignore the guy who says train your biceps. You can train them but they won't make your arm look much bigger compared to training triceps.Good luck.

If I weight lift will my arms just get bigger?

weight lifting can do a number of things for your size- they can either increase the size (muscle hypertrophy) or increase the strength.
For strength, but not too much size, get a weight that you can do about 5 reps with as a maximum for once set, this wont make them any bigger, but will increase the strength allot (look at Bruce Lee, tiny guy, incredibly strong), for size, about 10-15 reps, and about 4 sets is the norm.
For fat burning, which seems to be your goal, weight lifting isn't the best way, jogging or other cardiovascular activitys are- combine that with a good diet, and you will loose the fat from the arms, and all the other areas as well!

If your arms get bigger will tattoo stretch?

I just turned 18 and I'm planning on getting tatted in a couple weeks, but I'm worried that if my body or arms get bigger the tattoo will stretch or look deformed.
I'm 5'8 at 130lb. Planning on putting on at least 20-30 more pounds of muscle. Will it effect the tattoo if I gain that much extra muscle mass?

Will my tattoo stretch if my arms get bigger? ?

I'm 16 years old and a junior.I really want a tattoo of.my family crest on my arm like from my shoulder down to the bottom-middle of my bicep. Will this stretch? I'm 185 lbs and 6 feet tall and I lift a lot so what are your opinions? I've heard skin is stretchy so it will always mold to your skin and I've also heard ot will leave stretch marks in between. Will my arms grow bigger if I do 15 narrow push-ups and 15 wide push-ups daily?

No.Do progressive workout. Start with five sets of 10 pushups each. Add 1 pushup to each set per day. As you gain strength, increase the number of pushups.Plus, besides narrow and broad pushups, do inclined declined pushups too. Not only will your arms grow, but also will your chest, shoulders and core strength of the body will grow too.

Will my arms get bigger if I lift dumbells that are a bit heavy?

Increasing muscle mass is actually a fairly complex process, and will not “just happen”, even by lifting heavy weights. Before we dive into the subject of hypertrophy, we need to address lifting form. If you require your other hand for support in order to lift the weight, then it is too heavy. Improper form will do more damage than anything else, and is not worth it.If your goal is to make your arms bigger, then two things need to happen:You need to be consuming a surplus of calories (so that there is energy available for the “building” of tghe muscle)You need to be stressing the muscle enough to force an adaptation of hypertrophy. In the case of hypertrophy, you can bring about this adaptation in 2 forms. Sarcoplasmic growth (think bodybuilding) and myofibril growth (think power lifting). If size is your priority, sarcoplasmic growth is typically the focus as it yields much faster results, albeit different. You will want to focus on putting tension on the muscles with enough resistance to fatigue them in about 30-60 sec/set. (Rep tempo will guide you as to how many actual repetitions you will perform). Again, this should be done with proper form for each exercise. Some good recommendations for your arms, other than dumbbells:Pushups with your hands close together.Close grip Pull-ups (various grips).I hope that helps.
