How Can A 13 Year Old Lose Weight In 3 Weeks

How can I lose weight as a 13 year old girl? I am 140 pounds (64 kg), 5′1.

Last year I went on an Extreme diet, it was really unhealthy. I lost a lot of muscle, but also so much fat. It was extremely extreme, because I only ate around 400–500 calories a day! That is terrible! This diet consisted of two meals, a protein shake in the morning, and a can of tuna at 4:00, every single day.The point is, if you want to lose weight, lower your calorie intake. Find out how much calories you need to eat a day, and subtract 200 to get faster results. At 160 pounds, I needed 1957 calories per day to keep my weight.Yours will probably be pretty low. So if it’s 1,000 calories, don’t go any lower.Invest in a jump-rope, jumping rope burns around 10 calories in one minute. That’s almost 1,000 calories in an hour.Cut out soda, juice, and any other flavored drinks that you really don’t need. Water is fine, stick with it.Also, stay hydrated! It will up your metabolism and you will be melting those calories like butter… Don’t eat butter, one tablespoon equates to 60–70 calories.Let me try to make it easier for you.Don’t eat so much, exercise more, even if that exercise is just walking a few extra steps. Stop eating bad food, you don’t need it, the taste is only temporary anyway. The phrase “You are what you eat” is probably the best thing anyone has ever said. If you’re eating fat food, what is that gonna make you? If you’re eating healthy food your body will be healthy.Hope I helped.

How can a 13-year old lose weight in 2 months?

I weigh about 159 Lbs and I am about 5 feet tall. I really want to lose weight. I have tried being on diets but i always slip up and eat a burger or something. It's really hard since after school i am really hungry and the first thing that always comes up is McDonald. I really hate it because all the kids at my school either have six packs or are able to run a mile in less then 10 min. What i mean is that i'm usually last in running a mile. I really really want to lose weight but i want to do it the right way not like throw up on purpose or something like. Thanks

Is there a specific way to lose weight as a 13-year-old (male)?

Sure, same as for everyone else. Stop eating .Seriously. It's not that hard for a few days.Fasting is normal. Just get used to completely not eating every few days, 2-3x a week, and you'll lose weight as long as you don't eat too much on regular eating days to compensate. If you don't think you can do a full 24 hour fast, well you are wrong, barring a medical illness. Get some willpower.Slightly less difficult is the intermittent fast. Basically you eat once a day, and that is it, no snacking no nothing else no cheat days. You eat at say 2pm each day for a week, and see how you feel. Most people in the US are conditioned to eat too much, all the time. Stop that.As a teen, you need adequate protein, and healthy fat for your brain. You need some carbs based on your exercise level. If you don't exercise much, you don't need many carbs. 1 helping of rice, pasta, or cereal a day should cover you.Research. Talk to a doctor. Why do you want to lose weight? Are you overweight, or just vain and want to look ‘shredded?’ .

What is the maximum weight a 13-year-old can lose in 5 exactly months, and how?

It is considered healthy (as in not losing muscle weight and not losing so fast you gain it back plus more) to lose 1 or 2 pounds a week. I’m not sure that applies to 13-year-olds, but maybe a pound a week would be OK. In 5 months that is 20+ pounds which would be a lot! Do you have a family doctor you can discuss this with? If you lose more than 2 pounds in a week, whatever you are doing you need to slow it down. Eat healthy foods, balance between fat/carb/protein (read Zone books) and eat lots of fruits and vegetables, preferably organic (EWG’s 2018 Shopper’s Guide to Pesticides in Produce™). And exercise either walking or biking. You can do planks and “push ups” off the couch or kitchen counter instead of weight lifting. Gardening burns calories as does housework, especially vacuuming the whole house or anything that is bending over or lifting stuff - like putting away groceries. So carry stuff in from the car too, look for ways to be active.

Is it possible to lose 2kg a week for a 13 year old?

I’m going to talk about the math of the task primarily. Losing weight is done by expending more calories than you take in. Approximately 3500 calories is equal to one pound. So if you consume 500 fewer calories than you burn per day, you’ll lose a pound a week.If she doesn’t change her diet in the slightest, and starts running 10km every day (assuming she wasn’t running at all prior, and that she was maintaining weight before, neither gaining nor nlosing), here’s the weight she’ll lose:10km = 6.2 miles. Generally speaking, you burn about 100 calories for every mile you travel. Slightly less if you walk it, slightly more if you run the entire way. So that’s 620 calories less per day. 620 * 7 = 4340 calories burned per week, or 1.24 pounds lost a week. 2kg = 4.4 pounds. So no, running 10km every day and making no other changes won’t come close to losing 2kg a week. If you want that, diet will be the largest thing to change. And all this being said, running 10km every single day takes a lot of discipline, much more than almost any 13 year old would have. Even with that, 5′2 and 50kg is on the lower end for a healthy weight. There’s absolutely no need to try and lose weight when you’re already at that height and weight. This sounds extremely unhealthy to even try. I’d try to find a way to deal with her personal confidence or the bullies at school rather than to attempt to lose weight.
