How Can A Immigration Reform Benefit The Economy

How does the U.S benefit from immigration?

Illegal immigration does not benefit, America. Illegals pay smugglers to gain entry into America. Next illegals will need to buy a set of fake or stolen documents in order to obtain employment.Illegals commit perjury when they fill out the I-9 tax form, they will use information from their fake / stolen documents, they sign off on the I-9 tax form saying all information given is true. When the gov does an audit and sends employers no match letters, the employers are told they must fire all workers who are unable to supply documents that coincides with what is filled out on I-9 tax form. The illegals cannot understand why they are being fired, they just know how they been told, they are hardworkers and the hardworker is suppose to be the only requirement needed to be in this country illegally and attach better life , they pretty much think this is all that is needed to be here. document fraud does not help America. If anything wide spread use of document fraud has our country becoming corrupt and becoming much like the country they left. Winks and nod on document fraud, wink and nods on entering America illegally, wink and nods to a number of laws broken are not contributions to America and does not benefit America.

Why is legal immigration beneficial to economies?

Yes, but only for so long as illegal immigrants remain illegal. On a bit more serious note, the answer hugelly depends on what kind of benefit you are looking for. If you are rich or upper middle class illegal immigration gives you more cheap options to suttisfy your wants of nannies and gardeners. But considering that illegals are among the poorest their influx increases inequality stats (drives them into toilet) and gives progressives more reasons and justifications to increase your taxes.

How immigration affects our economy and politics?

Immigration is essential to our economy, legal or illegal. Illegal immigrants offer what many Americans do not to the agricultural industry; day laborers pick different crops and get paid significantly less than their American counterparts. Without this cheap labor companies would flounder because there would not be enough people willing to pick the food. They are a necessary asset to our economy, and without them the economy would fall.

People will say that immigrants are the cause of deficits or what have you, but if this were true, there would have been a deficit during Clinton's administration, since it was a problem then. And yet, he had the only surplus in history. What caused the deficit was mismanagement of the economy and an unnecessary war. Not immigrants.

Anyways, many people who do not know facts will also tell you that they cause a rise in crime. This is very far from the truth. In a study published by the Public Policy Institute of California it was found that illegal immigrants were 10x less like to commit crimes than Americans, and legal aliens were 8x less likely. The argument that they spur crime is a fear tactic used by conservatives to rally other conservatives and moderates. It is only politicking. However, as you can see with the passing of the "Secure Fence Act" is a perfect example. It is a mere bandage over a gushing wound that does not address the problem, but provides a $1.2 billion dollar "solution."

The impact of immigration, legal or not, has an enormous impact on politics. Immigration is not scary. Immigration is essential for our economy to continue to grow. It will happen. The choice of how we, as Americans, choose to view it, either as a gift or a curse, will determine what sorts of laws are passed. Things like the "Real ID Act" and the "Secure Fence Act" are completely unnecessary and are a waste of federal and tax dollars.

What is Obama's Imigration reform about?

Reform is about securing our borders, bringing people out of our shadows, boosting our economy, and raising the wages for the US worker.

The US Citizens stand to benefit from it because of the boost it'll give our economy, and because it'll raise that trap door for the US worker.

It will change a lot of things when it comes to migrating, so it'll make it harder.

Immigration reform will allow more immigrants to come with a visa, not with a smuggler. It will require undocumented immigrants to get right with the law, register with the government, and go through government background security checks. This screening process will separate ordinary immigrants who have come seeking opportunities to better their lives from those who may be exploiting opportunities a broken system provides to those who may be coming to do us harm.

Does illegal immigration affect the economy more negatively or positively?

It affects the states negatively, and the federal government positively.

In brief:

States fund Medicaid and the public school system, etc. Illegals tend to consume these services without paying taxes.

On the flip side, illegals are often working with a fake SS#. In that scenario, millions are paying into Social Security without any chance of recouping it, so the Federal government will make a profit.

Here's an academic paper looking at it empirically:

How much does the US economy depend on immigrants?

In general one hundred percent of US economy depend on immigrants. The question arises when former generation of migrants are not considered in such generalized manner. They are already under social security and welfare in US.Therefore, revise the question and specify which generation or in what era the US economy considerably depended on immigrants and their entrepreneurship.
