My Facebook account has been locked?
This sounds like a scam. Facebook would NEVER go this far to do something like this further more they wouldn't lock your account. When i signed in to facebook from an unkown computer they only had the message of the location of where you had logged in from the unknown computer, and the time and date. Then you would confirm it by entering your username and password then there you go you're in! But in your case, my guess is that someone was phishing for you information. If its possible, can you give me the exact URL that you got this message? I'll try to help in anyway possible :) **Edit The Official Site of Facebook absolutly wouldn't do this. I need the link of the website that you got that message...if you can't find the link then the only thing left to do is to quickly report this to the police. I dont think the police could to much but its worth a shot. **Edit I agree with Daniel, i looked into it more and i guess the page is real. i read on a post that this one guy had his account hacked, did all the information you just did and it took as long as a week for them to get the account back up. Cant access my old account on Facebook?
I had an account about a year ago. I lost access to it and started another Facebook account using the same email address. I have been using the new account for sometime now. What I want to know is, how can I gain access to my old account because when I try to activate it, the new account pops up. My worry is that all my comments on groups have been compromized on Google search engines and this clearly jeopardizes my privacy. I have asked help from Facebook but I have received no response. Note: I deleted all my friends from my old account, thus, making it even harder for me to locate the account. I can still see my account on FB (which means it's still on their database), but unable to access it. Any help?
Locked facebook account for "Security reasons"?
Some crazy person hacked into my account recently for my game chips. Thankfully, I got it back by accessing my e-mail and changing the pass on both my yahoo and facebook accounts. The problem is, after I got my account back, facebook somehow detected that my account was being "hacked" and temporarily locked my account for security reasons. I try to complete the steps, but it only goes up to step 2, where it tells me I either need to: 1. follow the steps to recover my account through a pc or mobile device I've used before or 2. submit a government issued ID so the facebook team can help I've done both of these steps already without any luck on getting back into my account. The facebook team just sent me an automated reply and didn't guarantee they would respond to my problem. I tried resetting my password from my account and phone, but whenever I do that it leads me back to the same annoying "temporarily locked" steps page. I'm not sure what to do now. Will the lock go away if I just wait? How long will it take? I don't want to make another account.. it's been 2 days already. :/ I don't want that hacker to get to my account again either..
Facebook Ask me to verify my I.D to get back into my account.?
They ask for my I.D i took a pic of my I.D and scratch everything but my date of birth and Name and Pic. About a day or two later they sent me email saying "Thanks for verifying your identity. We’ve changed the name on your account to the name that you requested" So now when i saw my FB from someone else account my name is just my first and last name. And not my first then nickname then last name. Then about 10 minutes later they sent another email saying "Thanks for your reply. At this time, we can't give you access to this account or continue with your request because you either: - Haven't sent a form of ID that we can use to verify your identity - Sent us documentation that doesn't match the name, photo or date of birth listed on this Facebook account Please respond to this email and attach a copy of an accepted form of ID. Be sure to cover up any personal information that we don't need to verify your identity (ex: social security number, address, license number). For a list of the types of ID we accept, please visit the Help Center. ????????? What's going on??? Clealry FB has said i verified my account and identity, but i still can't log in my page. When i log in, it says, "Unfortunately, you won't be able to access your account while we're reviewing these additional documents. We appreciate your patience, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Has this happen to you and have you got your page back??? If so, how long did it take to get your page back?
Facebook account temporarily locked because someone tried to access from an unknown device?
When I opened my facebook page today it said account temporarily locked because someone tried accessing it from an unknown device or location. The location was scranton, pa, but oddly enough I do not know anybody from scranton, pa. How on earth would they get my info in the first place? And when facebook says they 'tried to' access my account, what does this mean exactly?
