How Can I Add My Movie To Imdb

How can I add my movie to IMDb's database?

IMdB doesn't add kids' home-made films.
They're interested in real, professional movies made by real, professional directors, producers, actors and technicians.

How can I add movie title in IMDB?

You have to sign up for IMDbPro. I believe it's $12.95 a month.
I take that back; at the bottom of every actor's/movie page, there is a "Update Information" button.

How do I add my movie to IMDB?

I know you asked not to post links and stuff, but it is way too much to type. Just read these and it will explain everything.

In order to be posted on imdb.com it has to be a legitimate film or tv show, not just something you filmed on your video camera and posted on youtube.

Well, I have 3 on there so far, all my own, as Matthew Prince suggests.  Amazon, who owns IMDB, is a clever company.  They also own a web site, "http://withoutabox.com" where you can submit all your film details and apply to a crapload of film festivals.  When you submit to any film festival listed there, it automatically gets you an IMDB "title page".  You can then add on other things such as a trailer video, or, for some added cash, still photos for publicity.Any additions you make get painstakingly reviewed by IMDB staff, and they do make mistakes sometimes, so there's some back and forth fixing things up.The other way is as James McLean suggests, where it's not your film.  Definitely not the norm for someone unconnected with the film to add it to IMDB, with IMDB becoming more and more central to the industry.

The FAQ page for an IMDb title (movie, TV series etc.) is basically a wiki. Editors can enter helpful information in the form of question-and-answer pairs. This is very much unlike Quora, where questions and answers are usually given by different people. If you have a movie question that you like answered, you can try the IMDb message boards — at your own peril. It’s probably better to ask Quora first. If you feel you can contribute to an IMDb FAQ page, you will need to demonstrate you are “in good standing”. No, even you can create a page. The main idea is that your title has to be well known. IMDB has certain criteria that must be fulfilled. Under 'News and Community', you will find 'Contributor Zone'. There you can find a detailed article on 'How To Add A Title'.Unfortunately you cannot add your own home movies or youtube videos as titles.

How do you list the movies that you have watched already on IMDB ?

Watchlist isn't movies that you've watched. The watchlist is a list of movies you're tracking or following on imdb, because you're interested in news and development concerning those titles.

If you want to keep a running tally of every movie you've seen, there are two ways. You can create a "list" and add the titles on your own. In order to do this, go to the homepage, and click on the community option. Then click "your lists' and create a new list.

A second way to keep a running tally of every movie you've seen is to rate them after you've seen them. In order to do this, you can go to the movie's homepage and click the number of stars that you'd like to assign the movie. Then under your account, you can view your ratings history.

You can use IMDBnator to get a list of all the movies in your laptop sorted according to their IMDB ratings.Just go to http://www.imdbnator.com/Click on "Choose Files" and select the single folder that contains all your moviesClick on "Extract"This should display a table view or poster view (whatever your selection in the previous screen was) of your movies sorted as per their IMDB ratings on the screen. On its top right will be an option to "download" an Excel file containing this sorted list, along with the IMDB ID, rating, genre, awards, name of director(s), cast, and description for each movie. You can then manually sort your files using this list as a reference, say, by modifying each file's name to start with the number corresponding to its position in the list generated by IMDBnator.A less manual and more fascinating option is less of an offline thing, but once set up, provides an experience that is far superior. I am talking about setting up a Plex media server. We use it here where I live and it provides the best way to not just sort your media, but to create your own mini-library of movies, music, TV shows etc. We use the Plex Home Theater, which allows to set up one system as the Plex Media Server, and other devices (computers, mobiles, tablets etc) can then play media from it. Here is a brief intro to it: Plex Media Server Review - TopNetTricks.com... and here, a setup guide: Setting up a Plex Environment. It also comes with Chromecast support. The catch here is, once your Plex is up and running, you can look up and install a metadata agent (unofficial, since Plex isn't open source) that will use some open database to sort your movies as per IMDB/Rotten Tomatoes ratings, depending on what agent you have chosen. Here's one: [REL] Open Movie Database - Metadata Agents. Even then, you will have to make sure that your movie files are updated with whatever information is required for the type of sorting you desire. Like if you want them to be sorted by their IMDB ranking, then their IMDB ID will have to be there, if by the director's or actor's or genre's name, then that will have to be there, and so on.I am not a fan 'coz I am not an entertainment buff (and am as lazy as one can be), but those who are will surely love it if they don't mind the tech setup and maintenance effort.
