How Can I Be A Hollywood Star After The Age Of 20

Does James Dean have a star on the Hollywood walk of Fame? He Should!!!?

yes. "http://www.hollywoodwalkoffame.com/" dosn't exist.
VINE STREET NORTH OF HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD: 1719 Vine Street: James Dean

Who is the oldest living Hollywood movie star?

Oh, all of the time! I can give you three examples. I love, love, love Katharine Hepburn, so I'll watch anything she does. I'm sorry, but I couldn't even stand the premise of Bringing Up Baby. She and Cary Grant were chasing a leopard around Connecticut? Ugh! I also thought that Dragon Seed was horribly racist with all of the white actors being made to look Chinese and the Asian actors in the bit parts, but that may have just reflected Hollywood's thinking at the time. I totally fell in love with Ewan McGregor in Moulin Rouge!, but boy has that man done some wretched films. Blue Juice (also with Catherine Zeta-Jones), Nightwatch, A Life Less Ordinary, Eye of the Beholder, Nora, Stay, Deception... Good god! I'm not sure how the man still gets work! Another one of my favorites in James McAvoy. Now, he has done very few bad movies, but I did see a few just because he was in bit parts. Bright Young Things and Wimbledon come to mind. (He was SO funny as Paul Bettany's obnoxious younger brother in Wimbledon, though. He pretty much stole what was an otherwise run-of-the-mill rom-com.)

How many major stars of old Hollywood (1930s and 1940s) are still with us?

Interesting timing - Just this evening I watched the classic 1947 film noir Out of the Past.  Three stars from that film are still living - Kirk Douglas, Rhonda Fleming, and Dickie Moore.LuiseRainer, Kirk Douglas, Olivia de Havilland, Maureen O’Hara, Doris Day, Rhonda Fleming, Richard Attenborough, Angela Lansbury, Christopher Lee, Lizabeth Scott, Lauren Bacall, and Dickie Moore.

Who are the A-List actors in Hollywood?

Some A-list Hollywood actors/actresses that I can think of include as follows, in no particular order:Leonardo DiCaprioBrad PittKate WinsletJoseph Gordon-LevittScarlett JohanssonAnne HathawayMeryl StreepTom HardyTom Cruise (say what you want about the man, but he is a true professional and makes quite a lot of good blockbuster movies even until this day)Sandra BullockCharlize TheronJames FrancoJennifer LawrenceBenedict CumberbatchHugh JackmanAnna KendrickDaniel CraigWill Smith (sure he was in a minor slump lately, but he was one of the few positives in Suicide Squad, and if he continues to be in good form, he will remain an A-list actor)George ClooneyLiam NeesonAngelina JolieMichael FassbenderRussell CroweRyan GoslingBen AffleckMargot Robbie (probably one of the latest entries here)Emma StoneNatalie PortmanTom HanksDenzel WashingtonMark WahlbergMatt DamonSamuel L. JacksonJohnny Depp (although he can potentially no longer be an A-list actor if he continues making duds after duds)Robert Downey Jr.Christian BaleMatthew McConaughey (the way in which he switched his career from being a romantic comedy regular to achieve newfound success as a serious, more dramatic actor is highly impressive)Morgan FreemanJake GyllenhaalJeremy RennerDwayne JohnsonMichael B. Jordan (another latest entry, with exception to Fantastic Four his acting career is pretty much solid and highly promising)Mark RuffaloJesse Eisenberg

Breaking into Hollywood: At 18 years of age with absolutely no experience and halfway through a 'round the world' backpacking trip that I don't plan on completing for another few years; is it too late for me to try to start a career as an actor?

I started stand-up comedy at around 30, was in my first play (since school) at 35 and trained professionally as an actor at 38. So no, you're not too old.Know what I regret, though? That I didn't get the chance to do that round the world backpacking trip I'd always dreamed of.Being an actor is great. It is one of the most fulfilling and happy things you could do. But for 99.5% of us, it also involves a great deal of "not-working". Other than a couple of "names", I've never met a jobbing actor who didn't also have another line of work. That might be in the restaurant trade, theme parks, office admin, production assistant - but  even actors getting regular guest star roles often find the money isn't enough to live on.There is nothing creatively fulfilling about not having had an audition for three months. There is nothing creatively fulfilling about wondering if you can still even call yourself an actor any more, since you haven't worked in a while. There is nothing creatively fulfilling about wondering why your life isn't creatively fulfilling. You assume that pursuing your love of travel at the moment will inevitably lead to a mediocre career. I beg to differ. By travelling: experiencing new countries, cultures and peoples, you will become a more rounded, experienced, grounded person than many people who've spent their lives as actors could hope to be. By travelling you can learn new skills, discover new interests, and make sure that when you settle down into a job, it will be far from mediocre. So my advice to you is to keep travelling. Open your mind to everything you see and experience and remember that any job - including that of an actor - can be mediocre if you let it become that way.I wish you luck.

What's the age when women start to look old?

When Marisa Tomei was cast as Auntie May in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), there was a bit of an outcry because she was deemed ‘too hot’ and ‘too young’ to play an ‘auntie’ even though she was 52 years old at the time. 'Spider-Man' Casting of Marisa Tomei as Aunt May Draws Social Media Outcry: 'Too Young,' 'Hot'Previous ‘Auntie May’s’ looked a lot older to emphasise on the ‘Auntie’ part but since the actor playing Spiderman, Tom Holland, was 21 years old, Tomei was more than old enough to play his aunt. I can understand the uproar, apart from the diversion of the previous casting because most other non celebrity 52 year old women don’t look as good as Tomei does. So the answer to this question is really subjective because if you were to go out and find a 52 year old woman, chances are she might not look as good as Tomei does but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. Maybe that 52 year old had been ill, maybe she had had a few tragedies in her life, maybe she has had to work tirelessly without any days off since she was 20. All those components - work, personal emotional and mental health, food etc. all play a big part in one’s appearance so it’s rather unfair to compare one woman to another of the same age. Rather, we should be taking into account the personal ingredients to the woman - what she has gone through and what has made her into the woman she is today. We are more than just our appearances so if we were to look old, maybe it’s because we are old, regardless of what our actual age are. After all, you can’t really expect a 30 year old woman living in a war torn country like Syria to look the same as someone who lives and works in Hollywood.Picture source:-Marisa Tomei Joins 'Empire' Season 2

How can an actor in Hollywood make millions of dollars per picture?

For the same reason a star quarterback can make 20+ million a year. If the team wins the stadium will be full and if they don’t the stadium won’t be full. Tom Brady sweatshirts have much more value than do Johnie Manzel’s.If people like a star they will try to see his movies. Big stars can pick and chose their projects so they tend to pick good ones. People are drawn to see a movie staring Harrison Ford or Johnny Depp, or Matt Damon. A star’s name on the marquee (even if we don’t have those any more)_ is worth big bucks. They can make millions because they will make even more millions for the studio.

Why is Madonna not in the Hollywood Walk of Fame?

Why would she be?

If she wants it she can buy it just like everyone else does now.

But frankly who cares about a has been baby stealer?

Who are some actors/actresses who quit Hollywood? Why did they do it?

“Quit Hollywood” is kind of a loaded term. I can’t think of any examples of actors and actresses who made public declarations of “I will never act again!” or anything like that. But a couple examples of people who stopped (or at least greatly curtailed) taking roles at a point where they could still have commanded some pretty nice paychecks are:Rick MoranisMoranis was a lead or co-lead comedy star in 80’s and 90’s classics including Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Spaceballs, My Blue Heaven, and Little Shop of Horrors. But he stopped making movies after 1996’s Big Bully and has only taken small TV or voiceover roles since. Sadly, Rick’s wife passed away in 1991, leaving behind 2 children, which Rick raised as a single father. Quitting allowed him to focus on his family.Bridget FondaA fairly big star in the 90’s (Single White Female, Singles, Army of Darkness, Jackie Brown), Fonda pretty much disappeared from Hollywood after 2001’s Kiss of the Dragon. She took a couple more TV roles in the next couple years but hasn’t appeared onscreen in any capacity since marrying composer Danny Elfman in 2003 and retiring from acting to raise a family.Joe PesciAn absolute staple in the 90’s (Goodfellas, the Lethal Weapon franchise, Home Alone, Casino, My Cousin Vinny), Pesci virtually disappeared from Hollywood after making Lethal Weapon 4 in 1998, at the age of 55 but still near the top of his game. He took a couple of roles during the next decade (2006’s The Good Shepherd and 2010’s Love Ranch), but has not appeared onscreen since. I firmly believe that Pesci would still take acting work, but is just very picky about what kind of role will coax him out of retirement. He’s currently attached to a Martin Scorsese movie, The Irishman, which is supposed to come out in 2019.All in all, I think the common theme with actors and actresses who “quit Hollywood” is that they’ve done some fine work, made enough money to live a happy lifestyle for the rest of their lives, and decide that they’d rather relax, be with their family, and enjoy life instead of working for a living. And there’s certainly nothing wrong with that.
