How Can I Be Famous Football Commentator

What are the best moments in football commentary?

Manchester United vs Arsenal, 1999 FA Cup Semi Final Replay:Just a little bit of background. It was an era of Manchester United and Arsenal domination in the English Premier League with both teams contesting for all the major trophies club football had to offer. This game would decide which team would play against Newcastle in the finals. It is considered to be one of the best United-Arsenal games ever. David Beckham put United ahead with a sensational strike from long distance. Dennis Bergkamp equalized for Arsenal in the second half. Things turned to worse for United. Captain Roy Keane was sent off and in the dying minutes United conceded a penalty which was ultimately saved by the great Dane Peter Schmeichel. The game went into the extra time with a 10 men United having their backs to the wall… Until Ryan Giggs decided to do THISIt is not only one of the greatest FA cup goals but also a goal that brought out the best in the ever famous duo of Martin Tyler and Andy Gray.Martin Tyler : “Giggs. Gets past Vieira, past Dixon, who comes back at him. Its a wonderful run from Giggs...sensational goal from Ryan Giggs...in the second period of extra time, he’s cut Arsenal to ribbons...And the team with 10 men go back in front 2-1!"Andy Gray : "Well words fail me! WORDS FAIL ME. Stunned Arsenal fans, joyous United fans, and if this is the last semi final replay goal we ever see, well it would rank with some of the greatest ever scored. He just bobbed and weaved and kept going and when he needed a finish, my god did he give us one. What a strike, after beating 3, 4, 5 players...wonderful...WONDERFUL. Fit to win any football match!"Highlights of the game:Video Credits : YouTube

Who is the best English football commentator ever?

In my opinion, this should go to Martin Tyler! He could be heard in the popular EA Sports FIFA game along with Alan Smith. He is very much experienced and his commentary shows it. He has good knowledge about the game and I would like to hear for years to come. He’s been good to hear especially when I am a Manchester United supporter. He was also superb while Rooney famously scored an overhead kick against Man-City. His yell when Martial scored on his debut was memorable but his ‘Aguerooooo’ moment makes me sad though. Liverpool fans then accused him of being biased.I have mentioned few other good commentators as well. I were waiting for such a question actually. Week in week out I hear to these guys while watching the Premier League.Peter Drury:He’s probably the voice of Premier League at the moment. I like his voice so much. Simply the perfect example of neutral commentators, though he’d easily call ‘Sergio Romero’ as ‘Sergio Aguero’, don’t get surprised. No offense and please don’t mind if you are a huge Peter Drury fan!Clive Tyldelsey:Clive Tyldelsey is a shining name when it comes to the world of football commentating. He really seems to put his life into what he says. He once called Man City’s sky-blue jersey shit. I’d like to mention his words once, “Yong Michael Brown is still somewhat of a wild-child, with the ill behaviour, with ill behaviour!!”.Jon Champion:He too is a Premier Leaugue seasoned commentator now. I don’t have much to say about him since I don’t get to hear him much. But he indeed is a good commentator. I like his presence of mind and voice too.Hope this answer helps.

Why are most of the football commentators British?

If you watch only the Indian League, i.e., the I-League, you'd then probably be wondering why all the football commentators tend to be Indian. Even if you watch a World Cup game in a Bengali channel, you will surprisingly find that all the commentators are Bengali. Now let us have a look at the English speaking countries. Australia and New Zealand isn't exactly known for football. Despite starting to feature regularly in World Cups, they lack enough football pundits for the international level of commentary.USA is recently doing everything possible to be a major force in Football, but unfortunately the best athletes, pundits and sponsors are devoted to another sport with weird rules but a similar name. That leaves us with UK. They are a major force. The BPL is one of the top leagues in the world. And they have a history in the game. So, if you are looking for English commentary for a La Liga match, chances are that the commentators will be British.

Who are the best football commentators?

My all time Favourite commentator is Martin Tyler. From Aagguueerrooo to Oh Messi the guy probably ruled my heart.I don't know why but i love his voice, its so much higher toned that if the match is boring still his commentary covers it up.He always highers my excitement to watch a match. After Tyler,Rob Palmer comes to my list.He mostly is the commentator of La Liga matches so i hear his voice almost in every match.I think i pretty much like his accent..His most memorable commentary for me will be Barcelona 3-2 Madrid. Those words this is were the extra man is paying of,one final roll in the dice can they hit the jackpot,Andre Gomes Jordi Alba Lionel messssiii oh my goodness lionel Messi does it again he is a superhuman when messi was booked for celebration those words book me jail me handcuff me he doesn't careNow this list is usless without mentioning the premier league duo peter Drury and Jim Beglin. You probably can't witness the excitement without their voice. There are a lot of good commentators so google about them. Also their voice can be found on YouTube,so with headphones it might give you goosebumps.P.S-Can someone acknowledge me who was the commentator during Chelsea vs Bayern Ucl final the one when Drogba scored a goal and he commentated Droogggbbaa What about that

Who are the best English commentators in football currently?

Football commentators are, for most fans of the sport, at worst a necessary evil, and at best purveyors of inimitable improvised poetry. Though they may share responsibility for the vast majority of tired, footballing cliches that permeate every corner of the sport, like a good film soundtrack, the best soccer announcers can help heighten the drama for the viewer at home (or in some horrible soccer bar). Here are some of the best English football commentators that are currently active :Martin Tyler :- Martin Tyler – recently voted as the commentator of the decade, has been ever present as the leading voice of the English Premier League since its inception in 1992. Tyler has seen each and every important moment in the Premier League through his eyes and has explained them through his voice.Be it Kanu’s hattrick against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge or Wayne Rooney’s infamous overhead kick against Manchester City, Martin Tyler has been there and done that. Martin Tyler works for Sky Sports. Some famous Martin Tyler moments: Didier Drogba (vs Bayern Munich, 2012)Wayne Rooney (vs Manchester City, 2011)Sergio Aguero (vs Queens Park Rangers,2012)Peter Drury :- Peter Drury is a good soccer commentator. How to become a sports commentator/reporter?

I'm a high schooler and I have an interest in the job of reporting scores or discussing football on live television or in newspapers. I love the game of football but I dont play it, only as a recreation but I love discussing it with my friends and others and get really into it because I check stats daily and try to learn more about the sport as I watch. I know a lot of the commentators are past famous players and I know I cant get there but is there any other way to pursue this career? By like starting out small and then moving my way up? Fame's not my goal but finding a living off of talking about a sport that I love.
