How Can I Become A Disney Actor At 14

How do become and actor on disney channel?

I'm 14 with no acting experience and i really want to be an actor on Disney, But I don't know all the things I need to get started. And well now and days it's kinda hard for my family to spend a lot of money on me, being that im the oldest of 3. So im not sure how much it would all cost to start.
And i'm going into high school this year and I was wondering if there were any certin class, becides drama, I could take that could really help me for later on.

How to become an actor?

I m 14 years old and becoming an actress / actor is my passion, and I m not looking to appear on some Disney or Nickelodeon show. I will work hard to become the actress I want to be, but I need to know the steps into becoming an actress. I m from Las Vegas, but I also visit California pretty often.

I'm 15, I want to become an actor on Disney Channel. How do I get there?

I was the same age when I decided I wanted to act! And Disney Channel was the inspiration. Take classes while you’re young, do your research so you can avoid scams. That happened to me early in life and it put a toll on my young start. Watch how your favorite young actors act and what types of projects they are mostly on, then do research and find agencies and auditions that fit your need! Good luck hun! ♡

How do children become actors?

I'm 14, and every times ask about me becoming an actress everyone says I won't make it. (On this website), well if that's the case, how do the children actors start? How are they famous? They obviously didn't attend the best acting school in the world. They had to start somewhere. Jennifer Lawurence, where did she start? And how old was she? Selena Gomez? Demi Lovato? And all those Disney actors? Someone want to tell me, why they all made it. But I'm not going to make it? Honestly, everyone saying I won't make it, wants to make me work 1000x times harder and prove them wrong. Because I'm just asking for advice. Not someone to rain on my parade. I know how hard it is. I know what kind of life it is. I know everything about it. This is my dream. Stay out of it. Either your with me or not. I just want advice. Nothing else. I'm 14 and I have soooo much years to train and work hard. I have ages to make it. It could be next year, or in 5 years. The worlds my oyster.

Odds of becoming an actor?

The odds of becoming a working actor eventually are just fine, as long as you go about it the right way.

First of all, I don't recommend attempting to get out there and work professionally as a teenager. Despite what you see on the Disney Channel, the VAST majority of acting jobs available are adults-only. Even roles that call far teenagers are typically played by young looking 18-20 year olds, so that nobody has to deal with child labor laws. Couple that with the hordes of young children desperate to be the next Disney star, and you have a situation where the market is so incredibly over-saturated it's pretty much impossible for a person, no matter how talented, to get anywhere.

However, if you hold off, do school plays and/or community theater for now, get yourself some legit training in acting voice and dance, go to college and get yourself a performance degree, then you should be fine once you enter the market as an adult. Granted, you still have to be talented from the get-go, just like a person has to be good with numbers to be able to make it as a banker, but there ARE jobs out there, and if you're well-trained and educated you'll be able to find them.

Now, if you're asking what the odds are of becoming a FAMOUS actor, just put it out of your head right now. The odds are so unbelievably astronomical that you might as well consider it impossible. The country is full of literally millions of people who want to be famous, many of whom are legitimately quite talented. And I know you're going to get a lot of people on here telling you to never give up on your dreams and keep trying to be famous no matter what happens, but quite frankly your energy would be better spent focusing on just trying to establish yourself as a regularly working actor in some other market besides NY or LA. Chicago, Houston, Seattle, Miami, Toronto, and probably more cities I'm forgetting at the moment all have substantial arts communities, and if you know what you're doing you should be able to carve out a career for yourself in one of those markets doing regional theater and the like. You won't get rich, but you won't starve either and you'll be doing what you love.

So, in summary, the odds of becoming an actor aren't so bad, but the odds of becoming a famous actor are pretty much impossible.
