How do you become a flight attendant?

Airlines look for people with customer service experience, and normally require you to be at least 21, however, some smaller airlines do hire at 18 or 19.

You need patience and poise.
The job requires you to be pleasant, friendly and courteous even under stressful and difficult circumstances.

Do not waste your time and money on schooling; the airline that hires you will send you through their own training program.

For information about the job and which airlines are hiring, as well as requirements:
http://www.flightattendantcareer.com

You would then go on the website of the airline, just like any other employer and apply online, uploading your resume and information.

If the airline likes your resume and application you will be called for an information session in a large group. This is where they see how you look (well groomed, poised) and how you interact with others (friendly and patient).
If you do well there, you will be invited to a group interview and then a one on one interview.
If all that is good you will be offered a job contingent on passing a 10 year background check, drug test, and physical exam.
Then you will be invited to initial training, usually several weeks, which you must pass in order to actually be hired and get your operating experience prior to flying.

In the interview they want to hear about how you can provide good customer service and provide the passengers with a positive flying experience.
They will also ask if you are willing to relocate and if you can work a very unpredictable schedule, be on call on short notice and work potentially long days.

To this you should answer yes.

They will inform you that you will be on reserve for several months to several years. This means you will be on call with no guaranteed schedule. You may have only 1 or 2 hours notice to arrive at the airport in uniform ready to leave on a trip of 1 day, or several days.

This is all true; the recruiter is not exaggerating but is giving you fair warning.

Good luck! It's a great job.

Can deaf become a flight attendant?

Actually yes. This is why. first of course no discrimination, secondly some have residual hearing and also have sharp eyes and go through special training. or if one has the CI then they can hear if someone is trying to get attention. Also iam sure they have more than 1 and before the flight passengers will be made aware they have hearing loss so no confusion could happen.
We CAN and do, do everything hearing can . we may have to take different training but we are no longer segregated. If you areinterested in ebcoming flight attendent I would set up meeting with the employer and ask all questions you have.By law they cant discriminate at all. :D hope this helps you!

How do i become a flight attendant for the military?

Become an RN (nurse), or flight attendant?

I recommend becoming an RN for the following reasons.

The only perk of becoming a flight attendant is free traveling, but even that is limited. You only get a short amount of time in each area, most of your time is spent on a small plane serving people, and you are away from your family most of your time. You can be easily replaced, which is only inevitable, especially since airline companies are always going bankrupt. If you have ever been in an airplane for 8+ hours you know thats a horrible experience, so now imagine doing that every day.

There are far more perks to becoming an RN, but first, the obvious ones. You get amazing benefits, and health insurance. Although you work a lot, you still have time for a family. The pay is significantly better. There is always a need for more people in health care, because there will always be sick people, dying people, and so on. If you enjoy traveling you will make enough as a nurse to travel where you want. You can accomplish your goal in that you want to help people.

To me this is a very easy choice, because as a nurse you can accomplish helping people as well as traveling. I really recommend being a nurse, it is a much better decision and I think you will be much happier with that.

Is there any age limit to become a flight attendant?

Sadly it is!But it all depends on which airline you wish to work for.Example many USA/EU/AUS airlines, they are very welcoming of all ages and their max age is 65.But when it comes to many ME/Asian airlines they prefer to hire young folks. Most of the airlines in ME/Asia their max age is 35 upon joining. Sadly many Asian/ME airlines are ageist. Many Asian/Me airlines even add their max age limits openly on their job ads. SAD!
