How Can I Become A Successful Actress

How can I become a successful actress? I am 16 and am in an advanced theatre group. Where should I start?

I presume your theatre group is teaching technique. If so you are already doing at least part of what you need to do. Acting is not only an art, it is also a business. The are involves learning how to analyze a character and then using your analysis to take on the character’s behaviors, their hopes and fears. their physical patterns, etc. Ultimately living the character in your performance. The business involves networking. Knowing who is doing projects and making yourself known to them. Knowing what your brand is, continuing studying to perfect your craft, and actually working. There is a saying that goes work begets work. As you become known as an actor, people start coming to you. Make sure you have good headshots and a good resume. Use social media to promote your work.

How to become an actress? (:?

I have always wanted to become famous, but never know how. :( I am the one that wants to be in magazines and on tv and in a movie, I want to be an actress....but i really know i have a 1 in a million chance, but if anyone of you could give me a tip or info. I am 13 yrs old. (just to let ya know)

Am i wasting my time trying to become a successful actress?

well heres the thing, i'm a artist and yeah ppl tell me that crap all the time like i not going make money in life. but you only have 1 life to live and so do they, so no one have live long enough of 2 to tell you what is best for you. You can live in a boring life of being like everyone else in a box, or live for what you want and how you want. If you want to act as much as i wan to keep drawing then let us both keep doing what we want and ignore what everyone else have bad to say :)

How hard and unlikely is it to become a successful actor/actress?

If you are fantastically talented, such that you stood out as having great talent at college or local theater, and you are willing to devote your life to working at it hard, you will make a living, as long as you are willing to compromise which jobs to take, like teaching acting in between un paid gigs. Sooner or later, people will notice you, and you will get some paying gigs, and then it’s about one in 200 chance you’ll make it to support yourself in film, tv, or theater. If you are a hard worker with just really good talent and not fantastic talent, the number is more like one in 10000. If you are not a hard worker, forget about it. Then its one in 10 million. Unless you are related, connected, or rich. Then if you are really good, you can probably get yourself a living by acting for sure. The numbers are guesses, but I think the shape of the curve of work vs success for acting is something like this.
