My Brother is monitoring my computer somehow?
ive been having suspiciuons that someone was monitoring my computer for a while now, i thought it was my brother, then i thought it was my parents, but then i thought it was a hacker, so i refreshed my computer and got avg. just right now i told my mom in front of my brother to get a monitoring software on my brothers phone and then my brother raged and said i know wat u do on ur computer and i know u watch anime. i got freaked, i make sure no one sees me watch anything, i go to a different floor to watch it all by myself, hes got a software and he is watching me. ok just right now no joke my computer refreshed the taskbar twice really fast. hes watching me now TELL ME HOW RO fix it

To answer your first question, yes it's extremely possible. Monitoring software is used all the time in many different scenarios. To the second question: some monitoring programs will actually tell you that they are active and watching by popping up a little text box on your screen. But then there are others that are designed to act stealthily and there's no way to really know for sure that they're there. It all depends on which program your parents pick to use. To the third question: I'm afraid you can't. First off, even if it's "your" computer in your room it still legally belongs to your parents since they paid for it. So it would actually be rather illegal for you to disable the software. Even if that doesn't bother you, disabling the monitoring software is extremely difficult because it is different for each brand of program. There's no way we could really give you specific instructions without knowing which program they chose to go with. My recommendation would be for you to be honest with your parents: tell them that you frequently make personal writings on the machine and that it bothers you that they may be watching it. Ask them if there is a specific reason they are considering monitoring you - perhaps you could work out a compromise so that their concerns are allayed in some other way without your privacy being encroached.
Can Somebody Please Tell Me How to Disable Hapara on my Chromebook?
My school installed this apparently uninstallable extension on everyone's chromebooks. It's called Hapara Interact. I have no idea how to uninstall it and trying to find a work-around hasn't worked. It's a monitoring/spying service for teachers. That would be okay, except, they can also control it. Say I have this tab open during lass, or even in school at all; they can close it, type in it or even pen a new tab. I took a funny screenshot a while back (ctrl shift (button with rectangle and 2 lines next to it), drag cursor or ctrl (button with rectanble and 2 lines next to it)) and they deleted it. It was just a funny moment from a show me and my friends like, it's called Steven Universe. Anyway, it wasn't even inappropriate, just funny. A picture of a character faceplanting. I don't understand why this is even legal, it's pretty much what the (USA agency whose name I forgot) did with our phones a few months ago, but on a lower level. Thankfully, they can't do that at home but it's really freaking annoying. PLEASE HELP Fireheart318 out

Basically, no way to control it. That said, some routers do have better QoS, to control bandwidth, but you have to shop around for one that can control by IP address (or MAC address even better). If you have admin rights on all computers, and no one else does, you could install software like Netlimiter: http://www.netlimiter.com/ that only works if other users cannot disable it or remove the software. Thus if any user is admin of their own PC, software solutions usually do not work because people will disable it.
