How Can I Convince My Parents That I Deserve My Own Room

How do I convince my parents for me to get my own room?

I'm already 13 and I still sleep in a bunk bed in my parents room together with my 3 younger siblings. My parents already had a room prepared for me but my dad is still using it as an office. How do I convince them. Good for you Americans, you get your room when your about 6 years old but here in the Philippines, it's not like that. How? And no, I don't want to tell them this and that, I want them to just have my room done.

How can I convince my parents that I deserve my own room?

We are about to move to a house that has four rooms and there are 6 people in my family (4 y/o boy, 11 y/o girl, me 14 y/o boy, 17 y/o boy, and my parents). My parents want to put me in a small room with my little brother. I have never had my own room ( I'm currently sharing with my sister). I am a straight A student, always respectful, and I am neat and organized. On the other hand, my younger sister and older brother do horrible in school (mostly Fs and Ds) and they both talk back to my parents. My older brother has his own room and it always reeks of sweat. My sisters half of the room is always messy with dirty clothes and stuffed animals. I have told all of these things to my parents, but they still say that my sister being the only girl should have her own room and that my brother is the oldest therefore he should have his old room. They also told me that I ask for too much (even though I never get any of the things I ask for).

How to convince my my parents for my own room?

Have all your ammunition in order first. Make a list of all the reasons why you should have it. Include reasons that involve your sister NOT using it. Offer to put some sort of roll away bed in there for when your sister does come home and need somewhere to stay. Show your parents that you are concerned for her too, and that you realize they wanna keep it for her, but that you are old enough to take on the responsibility for it. Chances are, they already know this is coming from you at some point in time, and they have prepared themselves for it. It is only natural. They probably are just waiting for you to ask. Make a list of all the reason why you deserve it, and all the things you are going to do to KEEP deserving it (like keeping it clean and stuff).

How do I convince my parents to let me have my own room?

Ok, so were going to move in a new house, and then my dad says, this room is yours, and don't worry,no one will take it. Well, two days later, my dad comes out his room and tells me, your uncle is going to have your room. I'm so mad right now, i've NEVER had my own room ALONE before. When I mean NEVER I mean NEVER. A few years ago I had my own room for like what, 4 days? Then my uncle takes my room and keeps my desk,my t.v. my computer and my video games... He can't do that! And he didn't even let me in the room!

A year later,my dad and my mom got a small house, only 2 rooms, so I had to sleep with my parents and again, my uncle takes the other room. After THAT, We got a bigger house, I finally got my own room, for 1 week... then my older brother suddenly pops out the door and takes my room.

Now, the house i'm having now, I don't really have a ''room'', its just a small space next to the stairs. No doors, no privacy. Were moving to a new house,so my uncle takes it, I said it in the beginning.

How do I convince my parents to let me have a real ROOM. No mean answers, i'm mad as ****.I'm in middle school, I do chores and do almost everything around the house, indoors and outdoors. I get no allowance no thank yous or anything. I even cook for everybody in the house. I think I deserve a room for everything I do. Sorry, this is really long..

Ways to convince my parents to let my have my own room ?

How to convince my parents to let me have my own room?
I'm 15 (and a half), I share a room with my annoying, moody and messy 14 year old sister. My sister is really cool and everything, but sometimes she jus gets in my nerves.

There's a guest that nobody uses in my house, I asked my parents of I could have it. They said I need to wait for them to have more money so they can have my current room split in two. But that will probably take forever!

My sister really craps my style, and she never picks up her things or packs away her laundry.

I don't only want my own room so that I don't have to put up with my sister, but also cause I feel that I get too attached to things and that i depend on other too much. I feel that if I get my own room I'll be sort of more independt.

How do i convince my parents to let me have my own room?

I use to share a room with my older brother(s) so I get how you feel. Explain to your parents that you're at the age of in need of your own space. I think they're not letting you have your own room is because they probably think that you'll let girls in, sneak out, and do stuff you wouldn't do with your sister around. You have to let them know and see that you can be trusted. If that doesn't work, get your sister to help. Since she's probably their favorite try to get her to ask for a room to herself. You guys sound like you need your own space, and you're 17, as well. Best of luck <3

How can I convince my parents to get my own room and not share it with my twin bro? +Poll?

oftentimes sure yet while the domicile would not have adequate bedrooms for each baby to have their own room then it quite is extra wide-spread. i agree it is form of strange that they have not long moved him in alongside with your older brother as considered one of those set up could have been extra the norm. in any different case string up a curtain down the middle of the room, use overlaying tape to hold it down on the floor and learn how to admire each and every others area. a minimum of you do no longer ought to share a mattress. while my mom grew to become right into a baby her chum slept in a mattress with 4 of her siblings, girls and boys, till at last they moved out at 18. while my mom went to stay the evening she grew to become into the 6th in that finished sized mattress.

How do I convince my parents to give me my own room?

What you have to do is get your reasons together.

Make sure in your reasons to explain how your own room could benefit you: being more responsible, independent, and studious. State several reasons you should have your own space: to get your school work done without being disrupted, you could relax and unwind, have privacy, etc.

Tell him that you will take exceptional care of the room keeping it clean and tidy. Tell him that you are willing to give the room to guests when they come.

Tell him why you deserve the room. Make sure to say that you are 4th in your class and don't go out partying, drinking, and smoking, etc.

If he thinks that you still to irresponsible enough to get the room then you must make him a deal that he can't refuse. The deal can be like this: You'll leave the door open when not in the room, you'll leave the door unlocked while in the room, you'll make sure it is always in perfect condition, you'll do extra chores around the house to prove that you can be responsible.

If you set up poster boards with this information and outlines for him to follow while you explain hwy you want the room then he would surely be impressed by how much you want the room.

Sleep on the sofa for two months. Worked for me.I shared a room with two younger sisters until I was seventeen. When I really couldn't cope anymore I started sleeping in the living room. When they realised I probably wasn't going to stop, they converted the utility room for me. I had to share my bedroom with a freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, but they were better company that my little sisters!
