How Can I Find A Job In Southern California

Jobs that pay good southern california?

Who's the babe in your avatar? We ALL know you're actually a guy.

As to a career why not make your dad proud and join the Army too. You will be trained in the MOS most appropriate to your interests, and abilities, you will get to travel to many interesting places, and meet people of other cultures, and the G.I. Bill will help pay for your college education if you choose to get a degree. If you make the Army a career you will also have a nice pension after your 20 years to augment what ever job you get once you return to civilian life.

And this time DON'T insult or report other members. We ALL have memories like an elephant.

Job shadow in South California for acting career?

I'm a junior in high school and we have to do a job shadow in my English class for a grade. We have to do a shadow based on our career path. Mine is in the acting career, specifically voice acting. But, its hard to find a job shadow when in the acting career, I already emailed 1 voice actress to job shadow her, but I haven't gotten a reply in several days. I also was denied from a writer for a show, since she works at home and it would be awkward to job shadow her at her house.Any ideas as to who/where I could job shadow? L.A. possibly, since I live a half hour away from there. Thanks for anyone who helps!

i have lived in both places...and i love both!!!i was born and raised in denver and moved to l.a. when i was 16...it grew on me very quickly, evn though i still had moments when i was homesick for denver!!

it is pretty expensice to live in socal, but its worth...you have the beach and the mountains, and other than the smog and the 405 on fridays i cant honestly think of one other reason why you shouldnt move there....especially if the job offer there is better!!!

im stuck in crappy old texas wishing i was in either denver or l.a. now....so im way jealous!!! :)

What is the average commute time in Southern California?

Southern California has some of the most congested freeways and worst commutes in America. There are a lot of variables that come with pinpointing the “average commute time.”First, it really matters where you're going and where you're coming from. Southern California is a very big place.Second, it really matters at what time of the day you're driving.72% of commuters in Southern California drive to work alone! That's a crazy fact when you consider almost 400,000 people do it daily.Anyways, let's take the most popular commute which is LA to Orange County and vice versa. If you leave around 6:30–7:30am and head home around 5–6pm you're probably looking at about an hour to two hour commute each way. Again, lots of variables here. Is there an accident, which road did you take, etc.?I would check out RollOutt as they seem to be the best way to get to and from work in SoCal.

Why doesn't Southern California do a better job at collecting rain water?

Because for decades the federal organizations involved in managing rivers and streams in Southern California, the Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation, as well as their local equivalents such as the LA County Department of Public Works (which runs the county flood control operations among so much else) were more focused on issues such as preventing devastating floods than they were in refreshing underground aquifers in a rapidly urbanizing metropolis where asphalt and roofs cause lots of runoff into relatively few places in even a mild storm.  Of course, even if the region HAD done a better job collecting rain water all these years, it would still have required us to import lots more supplies from places such as the Colorado River, Mono Lake and the San Francisco Bay Delta. An average of 15 inches of rainfall a year isn't going to slake the thirst of 15 million (or 16 million or 17 million) Southern Californians. And just because we had 10 inches of rain (at the downtown LA station) in December doesn't mean we'll catch up any time soon either. And for what it's worth, you can find settling ponds in the beds of several major streams in SoCal, such as along the Santa Ana River in Orange County and the Rio Hondo in the San Gabriel Valley of LA County.
