How Can I Gain 10 Pounds In A Month

How do you gain 10 pounds in a month?

Basically, you’d need to eat a lot more calories than you need in order to maintain your current body weight (probably by 20% or above). That wouldn’t be advisable though. I don’t know why you’d want to do that but if your aim is to build muscle, then you need to know that you’d have to also do some form of resistance training and that even complete beginners can hope to add up to 25 pounds of lean muscle mass in a YEAR (so that’s around 2 pounds per month). So if you gain 10 pounds in a single month, 7–8 of those would be pure fat which isn’t good for your health.Hope that helps!Cheers,Mitko

I want to gain 10 pounds in a month?

Here are the best ways to gain healthy weight if you are underweight:

1. Physical activity and high-calorie diet: diet alone can bring about weight gain, but it will be mostly fat. Try strength training exercises to build muscle. However, you must also consume a high-calorie diet or else you won't gain weight. To gain a pound of muscle and fat requires taking in about 3,000 calories. You probably should eat about 700 to 1,000 calories a day above your normal energy needs to support weight gain.

2. Nutritious foods- stay away from junk food! You need nutritious, energy-dense foods. Celery, for example is NOT energy-dense. No matter how much you eat, you won't gain weight because there aren't enough calories per bite. Choose peanut butter instead of lean meat, avocado instead of cucumber, olives instead of pickles, whole-wheat muffins instead of whole-wheat bread and flavored milk drinks instead of milk. You could eat celery, but eat it with tuna salad (or Peanut butter). Use salad dressings on salad, margarine on potatoes. These are just examples of what you could eat.

3. Bigger portions at mealtime- you should get used to feeling full after eating. Your stomach will get used to is and will adapt to the extra food. Also eat frequently and keep foods on-hand to snack on.

4. Avoid tobacco- I don't know if you smoke but if you do, this greatly depresses the appetite and makes things less appealing to eat.

Good luck!

I've gained 10 pounds in a month!?

And don't tell me it's just bloating because It's been gradual. I don't konw about the first few weeks because I was at camp, but when I got back I'd gained 5 pounds. Since then I've rapidly gained 5 more and they won't go away! I look pregnant, and my abs and thighs are getting flabby! I start school in a few days, but I don't want to looking like this.

How can I stop gaining, and lose the weight I just gained?!

Oh, and I definitely haven't been eating like 3000 calories a day or whatever would make you gain like this. I've probably been eating less than 1800 even.

Also, if you think it is bloating or some other cause that isn't actual fat gain, how can I lose some of it by tonight because I have a beach party?

How do you safely gain 10 pounds in a month?

10 pounds of what? Just fat? Well, if you eat 500 extra calories over your maintenance per day or 3,500 extra calories per week that's 1 pound of weight gain per week, not counting water weight fluctuations. That's about 4 pounds per month. So once you calculate your estimated caloric maintenance level just simply eat about 1,200 calories per day over that and you will gain 10 pounds in one month in theory. However the human body is a wondrous thing and burns calories at inconsistent rates, depending on activity level, amount of sleep you get etc. So it's not guaranteed. Now, if you wanted to gain 10 pounds of straight muscle in one month I'll be first to tell you it's completely impossible. Even if you are a genetic god and are on roids you cannot gain that much muscle that fast. You can gain about 4-8 pounds of lean muscle mass pear year, and thats only in the first 2 years while you have newbie gains,  and only if you are a genetic freak, eating perfectly and training properly (most people fail at at least two if not all of these things and dont even realize it) After that progress slows immensely.

No period for two months and gained 10 pounds, what could it be?

I haven't had a period for two months now. I started eating better...not really dieting..about a month ago. Pretty much just cut out pop and junk food. Problem is..I have now gained 10 pounds since I started... I know if you gain/ lose weight it can mess with your period..and I have been a month late before.. but never two months. I have no other problems....other than weight gain and no period. My boobs seem the same..granted I have larger boobs..so I don't know if I would notice a change in size. I am just wondering what could be causing my weight gain and missed periods. Any help?!?

How should I gain 10 pounds of weight in one month?

You have not given your height, current weight, age etc But assuming you are a normal healthy individual with no limitations, you should increase your calorie intake. Start eating extra over and above your current meals. Eat calorie dense foods like dry fruits, banana milk shake, moong dal halwa in desi ghee, and any other nutritious home made foods. It won’t help to gorge on junk foods like pizza because it will damage your long term health. Eat balanced meals on time and snack every 2 hours. Drink enough water and stay active. Join a gym but also increase food intake accordingly.
