How Can I Get A Car For My Driving Test

Can I take my driving test in my friends car?

none of my family have a car in good enough condition to take my driving test, my girlfriends older sister offered to let me use her car for the test. the only thing I am worried about is that im not covered by her insurance so can I still take the driving test even if im not covered? would the DMV deny it? also does my girlfriends sister have to go with me to show proof of insurance and registration or can I just take them myself?

Can I use a rental car to take my driving test if I only have my permit but someone else rents the car?

No.Rental car’s can only be driven by people the person or people on the rental agreement and these people have to have a valid license. If you have a permit, you need to have a driver 18+ with youYou’ll need to go with the 18+ licensed driver to the DMV. When you check in for your behind-the-wheel test, the DMV will need to have that other driver present to check his/her driver’s license. The DMV will also check your permit, as well as the cars registration and insurance.OptionsYou can find a friend, parent, or driving school to help out with a car and driver. The person that goes with you will need to have the car registration and car insurance as well as their valid driver’s license.Another option is the company YoGov just started helping with behind-the-wheel tests in the Bay Area. I’ve read a bunch of good reviews about their service and this price seems like a great value considering everything you get. They pick you up, drive with you for an hour to practice and give you tips, take you to the scheduled DMV, check in with you, wait with you while you take the test, then drop you back off.You can Google other options which are mostly localized driving instructors and vary by city to city.Hope this helps!

I am having my dad rent a car 4 my drivers test, do i have to be put on the rent a cars insurance?

I'm so confused! My dad is renting me a car for my driving test do i have to be on the rental agreement, because i don't see how a rental car place would let someone use or drive a car who has no license, even though my dad is renting it, is the dmv going to want my name to be on the paper? I live in San Francisco, California by the way.

Please help! Thanks! Please try and make sure you know the anwser
or have experienced this, Thanks again!

Can you drive a car for a driving test if you don't have a licence?

I bought a used car from someone on facebook marketplace so basically what I'm asking is can I drive a car that I bought if I don't have a driver's license..I know the obvious answer is no but I'm trying to see if I can bring that car to my road test because I don't have anyone to take me. I'm 20 by the way

Can I use a rental car or Zipcar for a driving test in the USA (I’m from Canada and now living in California)?

In most states, no.In many states, you’re not allowed to use a rental car for your road test. In a few, you are allowed to use a rental car, but you must get extra written permission with your rental agreement on the company’s letterhead that authorizes the vehicle to be used for a road test. In short, you can’t just show up at a rental car place, get a car, and take it to your DMV road test. Check your state road test requirements first. If you’re one of the few states that does allow rental cars, be sure you verify you’re good to go and get any written permissions needed. What about using a Zipcar?Unfortunately, you can’t use a Zip car for your road test. It explicitly states in their policy that using a Zipcar is not allowed for road tests as well as racing, towing or taxi services. What are my other options? If you don’t have friends or co-workers that can help, you can Google driving schools. They usually will help with this too. There’s also the service YoGov that provides a car and driver specific to road tests and their reviews seem solid.MARCH 2019 UPDATE: People have asked where YoGov is located. According to their website they’re now “in 25 states.”Good luck!Tip: In California they no longer test parallel parking, but they do test to make sure you can back up in a straight line :)

Can i use someone else's car to take the driving test at the dmv?

You should be able to use any car properly registered.

You will be asked for and you must have these documents on your possession at the time of the road test.

1. Your driving permit.
2. The auto registration.
3. The driver who accompanies you must show a valid license.
4. The car must have a current inspection decal if required in the state.

You must have the auto registration. Often when you borrow someone's car at the last minute the car registration is forgotten.
