The thing to keep in mind is that it is not a very rewarding destination for people with less than 5 years of hardcore domain experience. So in case you are planning to move after your formal education it is always advisable to work in India for some years and then move on. One must also understand that you can't plan to relocate to MENA thinking you will get 4-5 times your current salary. That is a myth. The salaries will be almost equal to the best salaries in India or maybe slightly more but you save money on Tax. Your lifestyle goes for a substantial change. Exposure to multi cultural environment and new technologies are routine. Eventually most people end up saving more money in gulf than most other countries and most of it is sent back since you can't really own anything there. My accountant has several ex-clients who now make regularly above 250 k per year without a degree of any kind both in Accounting and Tax Preparation. Start with IRS training then the H&R Block one. Buying an H&R Block franchise (the rights to use their name with no frills or any existing office) costs just $2,500; if you buy an exisiting one in the open market the company will help you get financing. Or just become a hired hand thru H&R, either just during tax-time or for the whole year (you won't make as much, though). Actuarials for insurance companies also make in the 250-500k range but there the math is a little trickier and a Masters in Math will be necessary. Possibly a Notary Public license would also do it if you really work hard to attract several Real Estate offices (this advice from my accountant also). Licensing requires a bond, but just a minimal amount of training. Expect between $35,000 and $200,000, depending on circumstances. Of course there's always internet stuff too, but it's very risky.

For many of you, it’s because you’re just starting out. It’s a long and uncertain road to earning a solid living these days. Unless you’re very strategic, five, or even ten years of simple work experience isn’t enough.You are in a competition. There are people who prioritize this competition. They don’t call out. They are willing to move anywhere. They have open availability and show up when needed. They take ownership and solve problems. They are willing to outwork their peers even if it’s not fair that they must do so. In fact, they insist on outworking their peers.These people are rare, but they are getting hours, raises, and promotions because they bring so much value and convenience to their employers. I know people who have only a high school diploma who are earning six figures in grocery stores today. They followed the game plan above.Your simple labor is not valuable anymore. Robots build cars and microprocessors. No one needs you to stand on an assembly line. It’s too bad, really. You must bring more to the table. Oh, and this problem is getting worse as more automation comes. I doubt you’ll have a human making your coffee in fifteen years.You need to either outcompete others, luck into advantage, or settle for less. I can see the attraction of living frugally and settling for less. I think I’m headed that way in a few years.
