How Can I Get Audio On My Tv After I Link My Pc With My Samsung Tv

Audio Problems when connecting Samsung LCD TV to computer via VGA Cable?

Hi there

I recebtly bought a Samsung LCD TV, model LE32A456C2D and would like to connect it to my PC.

I have already bought a VGA cable and the picture comes through fine on the TV. I am however having trouble with sound. I plugged a cable into my headphone slot in my PC and into the red and white AV slots on the back of the TV, but no sound comes through.

I read one of the previous answers given for this problem, advising the user to go to the TV settings and tell the tv where to get sound from when connected to the PC. How do I do this though. I can't seem to find an option to do that. All the other inputs, including AV is greyed out. Only Ext 1 & 2 and DTV is available for use. A sky box is currently plugged into Ext 1.

Please help!!!!

Samsung Monitor/TV noise audio dvi in?

I have connected my pc to samsung monitor via HDMI. Since my PC configuration doesn't support HDMI audio, I have 3.5mm male to male cable connecting PC to DVI audio in on TV.
As soon as cable is connected to TV, speakers start to make quite a noise, even if PC is not connected on the other side.

How can I connect computer speakers to my Samsung LED TV?

This is very dependent on both what kind of TV you have. Some TV’s have a headphone jack (which is likely what your computer speakers use) and you can plug it right in there. If your TV audio out uses standard RCA connections (Red and White), then you might be able to get away with a Y-cable. If not, you’ll have to have some sort of processing device to take the audio output of the TV and convert it to a 3.5mm headphone jack. Any receiver could do this for you, as well as any computer with the appropriate Line-in connection. The key part is knowing how your TV exports audio.

Some video cards or video chipsets are not designed to output component signal you may want to do a bit of research to determine if yours is capable. If it is capable of outputting a component signal then you should be able to use a VGA to RCA component cable to complete the connection between your PC and TV.

Why will the volume not work when hooking a laptop to a TV using an HDMI cable?

For Windows:Your default sound device is most likely still set to be using your laptop speakers.Once you plug your TV in via HDMI, open your Sound control panel. In Windows 10 this is as simple as typing “Sound” into the search bar next to the start button and choosing the option that says Sound Control Panel. Older Windows operating systems you may have to go into control panel and select Sound. You should see (at least) two options here now, one will be Speakers, which will be set to default. These are your laptop speakers.I only have speakers plugged into my desktop at the moment so I only have one option, but to give you an idea of what the window looks like…The HDMI device will be another option. Click on the HDMI option, and click on the “Set Default” button at the bottom right-hand side of the window, right above the OK and Cancel buttons. You should now successfully have sound coming through the HDMI instead of through your laptop speakers.I don’t have a Mac, but a quick Google search provided the following:“Holding the Option key when clicking the Audio menu will reveal the available audio devices for both Input and Output.”Source: How to quickly change audio output in OS X

When I plug my laptop into my TV how do I get the sound to come from the TV?

Depending on your laptop/TV make and model, you have 3 options and need at least one of them.1- If your laptop/TV supports HDMI inputs/outputs, you just need an HDMI cable to connect your laptop and TV - the sound too, will pass through the cable.2- If your TV supports audio inputs (most TVs do), you need a stereo mini jack to RCA cable/adapter like this one:3- If your laptop/TV supports Airplay (a feature by Apple) you can connect your Macbook/Mac mini/iPhone and TV wirelessly with Apple TV (additional purchase may be required). The other product is Chromecast by Google. You connect the device to your TV if it supports USB. The device can connect to your mobile device/computer wirelessly and transmits AV (audio/video, audio+video)And there are some other options too, but they are product-specific, like Samsung's smart TVs and so on.
