Can I get my natural hair colour back?
If your hair has been colored, it is possible (usually) to color it back to something close to your natural color. But for it to be exactly the same as it was before coloring, if you’ve used a permanent or demi permanent hair color, no, that colored hair can not return to being virgin hair again. A semi permanent is more like a stain and only sits on the outer layer of the hair, so sometimes it is possible once that color has faded, for it to become your natural color again. As your hair grows in at the root, that will always be your natural color again, so you can grow it out, and eventually cut out all of the older previously colored hair.

Your roots will start showing your natural hair color at about 2 months. You don't have to dye it back to your natural but you can touch-up your roots again. I, however, would not suggest that you dye your hair blonde because to dye brown/red (in other words auburn) hair blonde would require that quite a lot of peroxide would have to be used which is damaging to your hair. It dries your hair out and split ends will then become more of a problem. Why not try livening up your hair with a darker color, it stimulates the hair follicles and conditions your hair from root to tip plus it gives it a shiny natural boost. Your hair will look fresh and radiant. I, too, was tempted to die my hair blonde and only dyed it Golden Blonde (close to Bronze). After about over 2 months my hair started drying out and I had split ends you can't imagine. I had to cut my long hair (bum length) to ear length. I made a mistake. I bleached my hair and it looked bad. I also had the wooers dark roots so i decided the only way to fix it was to dye my hair darker like a brown. my natural hair was a nice natural blonde. I miss it. Will I ever get it back?

Well technically it will never be your natural hair until everything that’s been colored has grown out. This could take years. But in the meantime either go to a salon and have the color removed. Any salon professional will know that there are plenty of color remover agents on the market. It’s not exactly the safest or best idea for your hair but it does work and it’s most definitely safer than decolonization which is basically a fancy word for bleaching. I don’t recommend doing this especially if you don’t know what your doing. I have naturally Auburn Red hair. I truly love my hair but i've made the decision that i'd like to dye it black for a hairstyle i'm getting. But before I do this,I want to know if there is any way I could ever get my natural color back after i've dyed it. I would only use temporary dye that would only last for a few months at a time.
