How Can I Get Braces Covered By Insurance

Would insurance cover braces a second time?

Are you talking orthodontics, The answer would be if you still have the same company for insurance. They will only pay out 1 time up to there policy limits. If you have another or different company you may be in luck. I have a daughter who just started and we have 2 policies, my wife's and mine that are helping but still very limited coverage. We still are footing over 1/2 the bill. Good Luck

Does dental insurance cover braces?

Insurance doesn't pay much, and only if there's a real reason for it...like correcting a really bad bite.

If you want braces primarily for cosmetic reasons (e.g. your teeth aren't very crooked) then you'll be footing most, if not all of the bill yourself.

Does Aflac insurance cover braces?

Aflac provides supplemental insurance such as short term disability, long term disability, wage protection and other things.

Braces would be part of a dental insurance. I don't think there is any dental insurance that covers braces for people over age 19. If you can find one, it would require an least a one year waiting period and probably pay less than 50% of the cost.

How much will insurance cover for braces to fix crooked teeth?

It really depends on your carrier, and your plan. I used Smilelove and it’s a lot easier than braces, and they covered $500, and I saved Thousands.

Does staywell insurance cover braces?

Medicaid does not cover braces unless they are medically necessary. Medicaid is only to be used on cases of severe deformities, cranial-facial problems and cleft palates. Medicaid will not pay for braces that are for cosmetic purposes.

Does any health insurance cover the cost of braces?

Not likely. Unless you have DENTAL insurance specifically, most regular health insurance companies consider braces to be a cosmetic procedure.

Is dental braces covered in any health insurance in india?

Any dental treatment required to be done as a result of an accident is covered under a health insurance policy. However, the scope may be limited in terms of the number / types of procedures covered and the maximum amount payable for such procedures.Currently, dental procedures like braces and others that are opted for by the individual themselves, by their own choice, are not covered by a health insurance policy. This is because an individual goes for these procedures voluntarily. If these procedures are covered by health insurance then:1) People will opt for these procedures even though there may or may not be a need for it.2) The cost of these procedures tends to be high and varies widely among dental clinics. Both, the above points will drive overall claims of health insurance plans significantly higher, resulting in higher premiums. Some insurance companies offer a small dental cover as part of the overall health insurance policy. But, the coverage is limited in terms of procedures covered and the maximum amount payable. Also, this limited dental coverage can be availed only after the waiting period.Standalone dental insurance plans are still some time away in India. But the possibility of coverage for procedures like braces that are used for correction of teeth looks like a remote possibility at this point of time.If you wish to learn more about health insurance in India, do read this article.

Does insurance cover teeth extraction for braces.?

I have Aetna dental and medical insurance. i recently had to get 4 of my bicuspids extracted for braces purpose.
I called Aetna ahead to see if the cost will be cover by insurance, they told me yes, it will cover 90%, also on my dental plan it says it will cover 90%.

but when I went into the dental office, people from the dental office told me since it's for braces, insurance will not cover. but they didn't even bother to get down my information and call my insurance, so how would they know if it's not covered?

I ended up paying with my credit card, cause i really need to get it done.

i want to find out if the cost is covered by insurance or not, what should i do next? and if it's covered how do i get reimburse?

thank you

Does Insurance Pay For Braces?

Depends on whether the dental plan includes orthodontics. To the best of my knowledge, the vast majority of dental plans do not cover braces unless there is a genuine medical necessity - meaning braces for the sake of straighter teeth probably wouldn't be covered. That being said, you really need to check with your health insurance company to see if this would be covered.
