I just wanted to know because many people are saying that you cant and some are saying that you can. I am considering buying my friends old one, but I want to know if I can get kik on it first. Thanks to everybody who took the time to answer my question!

How can I jailbreak my iPod Touch 4G, running iOS 5.1?
First download redsn0w to your computer. Then plug your ipod to it. Open the redsn0w zip file and click run twice. After this you must click jailbreAk an install cydia. Turn your ipod completely off and put it in DFU mode. The computer will do the rest. After its done go to extras ( still on computer) and click just boot then turn it off and put it in DFU mode. The computer will do the rest. And when youre done your ipod is now a tethered jailbroken ios device!!! Good luck!!
