How to get my data back?
Hello There, I have a 500 hard drive partitioned with GPT format. It has a partition of 200GB with some data in it. I was creating a new partition on it and system restarted. And now the Windows Computer Management only shows that there exists a partition of 200 GB but I am unable to mount it or assign a drive letter to it. I know that data still exists on that partition. But how to retrieve it? The only option available to me is delete partition and all other options are not available. I want my data back . Please help.... Thanking You In Advance!

You never lost your data. The save file data is stored on the Wii-U's internal memory card, not the game disc. If you download Splatoon or buy another copy of Splatoon on disc, it will find your save data and use it.
I lost my USB can I get the data back?
I lost my USB stick a couple of days ago. It kinda fell apart when I stuck it in the computer. I tried to fix it but I had to leave in a rush so I kinda just left it on the floor hopeing to find it later. Later came and couldn't find it. I had so much stuff on that thing it's going to get me emotional. Everything from school work to personal stories was ont there. SO is there anyway I could get the information back somehow? I need at least those stories.

First, look in the recycle bin. If the folder is there, right-click it and choose restore. Second, use a tool like Recuva (http://www.piriform.com/recuva ) to undelete it. Third, use PhotoRec (http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/Digital_Photos_Recovery_Using_PhotoRec ) to recover the files that were in it. (PhotoRec is a lot more powerful than Format Recovery and the full version is free) If that doesn't work the files are no longer on the disk and can't be recovered outside of a lab that can open the drive and read the platters themselves (and that's so expensive that the government rarely does it). Whatever you do, DO NOT do a system restore. That has nothing to do with recovering user files and it could overwrite the files you're trying to recover.

On Verizon, if you had a smartphone before July 2011, you can keep your 29.99 unlimited data plan IF AND ONLY YOU CONTINUE TO STAY ON AND UPGRADE TO A SMARTPHONE. THE MOMENT YOU DOWNGRADE TO A BASIC PHONE OR FEATURE PHONE, THEN YOU FOREVER LOOSE THE UNLIMITED DATA PLAN..... Your question didnt state what phone you got or anything.... So I can only speculate..... either you downgraded to a feature phone.... or.... you didnt upgrade at all (since they told you that you need to pay full price which tell me you werent ugrade ready yet on that line) but rather did an add-a-line and made a family plan just to get a new phone at discount price... and since its a add-a-line, that isnt covered under the Grandfather clause of unlimited data as stated above...... i would call Verizon and talk to a manager to see why you no longer have unlimited data on your line....... cause your question doesnt make any sence in relation to the Grandather Clause

Remove the hard disk from your computer, make it a slave disk (put it in a hard drive casing), attach it to another computer using USB cable (casing connected to another pc). Check if it is detected by another computer as an external hard disk (removable storage device). This is the same way which we use to retrieve/share data from flash drives, CDs etc. If it is detected, then back up all the data from your hard disk including bookmarks etc. Buy a new hard disk, install clean operating system (XP, Vista etc.) on it and restore the files to the new hard disk from backup computer. Ok, I must tell you that the type of file systems (NTFS or FAT) used on your computer and another computer can give you some errors during backup. If you used NTFS file system on your pc and the other pc has FAT file system then it will conflict and you won't be able to get access to some files or folders. For eg. you will see the hard disk detected (if detected) and you can see My documents too, but it will show the folder is empty. So, in this case, we will need to gain administrator rights to open these files. This is because the files are mode using a different file system and not recognized by this other computer. I will tell you how to gain access to such files but before that please follow the above steps and do let me know the results. You can add details in your question. If your hard disk is not detected, then I'm afraid, you will need to approach the manufacturers or third party resources to retrieve data.
