How Can I Get My House Music Reconised

How can I recognise various music genres? Is there any good resource to help one or one has to listen to as many songs as possible to tell the intricate differences between various genres?

There is a huge mess in music genre, especially now that people are mixing genres. Some genres are possible to tell easily but others are a little bit more complicated. And assigning a genre to a band/artist is, in many cases, almost impossible as they may change from song to song. The closer two genres are the more difficult it will be to tell one from the other because they share many elements. For example, Reggae comes from Ska. If you listen to original Ska songs (like the Skatalites) they will sound closer to what you would consider Reggae than modern Ska. They share similar rhythms and song structure (and probably some other things).Genres can be told one from the other in many different ways, from tempo, song structure and rhythms to lyrics and "sound." There is not a unique way of identifying a genre, each has its own peculiarities, so they only thing you can do is to learn to identify some big genres (like jazz, rock and electronica) and from there try to identify the subtleties that makes it one genre or another. For example, the typical rock band is formed by one or two guitars, a bass, a drummer and a singer. The time signature is 4/4 (four beats per bar) and the tempo is fast (above 80 I'd say, but I think there is no rule about it). There is a tendency of using distortion on the guitars and there is little to no improvisation. The structure is usually a variation of verse-chorus-verse-chorus (adding intro, outro, bridge, prechorus or duplicating sections). From this you can look into the subtleties that make the song belong to Punk (e.g. overdriven guitars), Metal (e.g. double bass drums), Grunge (e.g. growling and apathetic lyrics) and some others.Be careful because some genres exist for historical reasons or for reasons other than style, like Pop Rock, Indie Rock, Alternative Rock, etc. It doesn't mean that they don't have a distinctive sound, they sometimes do, but those categories were created to denote the market, audience or the source of the song.

Song in the house bunny?

There were two songs used in that party scene.

The first was "Shake It" by Metro Station.

The second was "Shut Up and Let Me Go" by the Ting Tings.

What are some songs about being rejected / refused / unacknowledged?

Alone Again (Naturally)

Verse:

In a little while from now,
If I'm not feeling any less sour.
I promised myself, to treat myself,
And visit a nearby tower ..........
And climbing to the top,
Would throw myself off,
In an effort to, make clear to whoever,
What it's like when your shattered .......
Left standing in a lurch,
In a church with people saying .....
My God, that's tough, she stood him up,
No point in us remaining .......
I may as well go home,
As I did on my own,
Alone again, naturally.
